The closest I can remember someone getting near Tony's 64 kos, is Ron Richards with 57 kos from 95 fights.

Jr Middleweight?

JR MIDDLEWEIGHT
Jr Middleweight limit is 154 pounds. Tony would not have fought once as a pro below 154 pounds.

Mate this is why people shouldn't jump on the band wagon with out updating yourself on what we are talking about Charkey Ramon v Tony Mundine.
Ramon would have to go up in weight.Anyway bogan whisperer can you let the 2 cats out of the bag who are the 2 Aussie born fighter's with more Ko's then the great Tony Mundine the boss is keeping it to himself

Alfie Sands had 63 KOs.

But at least two other Aussies have more KO wins than Alfie and Ron Richards.

Who are they and were they born in Australia
They certainly were born in Australia.

Sydney born Alan Westbury 99-20-8 recorded 65 KOs (1935 - 1946).

Tamworth born Mickey Miller 106-62-10 recorded 65 KOs (1932-1952).

(there may be others up around this number I may have missed - for instance Alfie Sands had 63 KOs)

Ok so next time I need to refer to Tony Mundine as our most prolific World Class KO artist or our World Title Challenger with the most KO'S or would /should I say MODERN DAY KO KING :maybe: Tony Mundine KO percentage is 67% compared to Mickey Miller 36% and Alan Westbury 51% does that even matter probably not so at the end of the day and I thought i'd never say this but at the end of the day Like a Boss you have taught me something I did not know

Only thing that matters in this discusion is Tony Mundine would of been TOO BIG i'll say it again TOO BIG for Charkey Ramon ... While Charkey was a great fighter , he never fought guys who could hit has hard and fast has Tony could, who were much bigger ... Remember people theres a reason they have weight classes in boxing

For eight wonderful months in 1969 the pair ruled the world, Fammo as WBC featherweight champion and Lionel as WBC and WBA bantamweight world champion.

Lionel fought as a world champion 3kg lighter (118lbs) than Johnny (126lbs), but there was a brief moment when the World of Sport host Ron Casey got them to spar over three rounds in the Channel 7 studios in Melbourne.

"Lionel had such a quick left hand and a right that had some weight behind it. We started not at full pace but towards the end we were starting to warm up," said Johnny years later.

Lionel was a big bantamweight and he regularly struggled to make the weight. A Famechon vs Rose fight at the peak of there powers would have been a tantalizing prospect all right.

Though i have contemplated on this bout alot i never know who i would favour...... looking at that photo they are fairly evenly sized.... but Olivares ruined Rose before he moved up...... so its hard to make an honest comparison.....

They do look fairly evenly sized in the picture. But I suspect Lionel might have been at his walking around between fights weight because he looks a bit soft around the waist band.
