Terry O'Connor in the first Tyson Fury vs John McDermott fight.
He scored the fight 98-92 in favor of Tyson Fury and he was in the bloody ring with them refereeing. He could have gotten a prison sentence for that decision. McDermott won that fight by 4 rounds.
Terry O'Connor is disgraceful. Out of shape and out of touch. McDermott IMO won that fight against Fury as much as i love the gypsy king.

With a bit of effort, we could all come up with a Big Tezza story! He hated McDermott because his dad beat him... God knows how he got the job.

My favourite is when he jumps in as if to stop a fight, seems to realise he's been premature, does nothing for a uncomfortable amount of time whilst wondering if he can or can't administer a standing count, (a few seconds that seem like centuries), then slowly waves his hands in front of the "beaten" fighter whilst pulling a "it's for your own good son" face.

Anyone with a pair of eyes could see from round seven he was absolutely fucked and had zero chance of winning the fight.

Too many to mention, though for perspective we've had a lot of very good refs too over the years, thinking Richie Davies, Victor Loughlin, Howard Foster (In spite of one high profile blunder), John Coyle.
Dave Parris, Choi v Derry Matthews, gave Derry every chance to get into the fight, including slow counts, didn't matter in the end though. And Dave would probably have let Hatton bring a bit of lead pipe on the ring to batter Tsyu with.
IJL seems to cock up every high profile fight he gets, the pre conceived choice to stop Enzo as soon as soon he got hit being a case in point, and didn't he give the home fighter 10 points in a round in a prizefighter even though the guy was decked? Can't remember who it was. I also saw him give a talk at a LEBA meeting a few weeks before Mitchell v Linares saying c'mon Kevin! And he was one of the judges. He seems like a nice bloke and all that but his decision making is poor.
