I'd say after his splattering by Canelo, Khan in the US would probably end up having to rebuild against Algieri types again or become a 'name that gets KO'd' by whoever they serve him to next.
All part and parcel of negotiations I guess, but if I were Brook I wouldn't be taking 30% either.
khan can make decent money fighting the likes of pacquiao or the loser of garcia thurman. he's still a big enough name to be the opponent in those sort of fights and could conceivably win them. brook is in a tricky position. back away from this and go down to 147 again, (possibly tricky just in itself) to face a dangerous mandatory or move to 154 and fight potentially very tricky, high risk, low reward opposition? he doesn't have the profile to end up facing someone like pacquaio.
60/40 feels a very obvious agreement point for this fight. it's never 50/50 in a million years.

They should each get 40% of the total purse, with the actual winner picking up the floating 20%.
That way they both know they'll make millions regardless, and the best man on the day rightly gets the extra wonga.
It's a fair way around the endless arguments about splits.

Maybe Brook need to learn from Khan.
Accidentally release a picture of him pleasuring himself, then have an embarrassingly public fallout with you family/plastic doll wife and harp on about all the good work you do for charity, Smashy and Nicey style
Then it's a 50/50 bout

He was wearing sunglasses indoors during the publicity tour for the GGG fight - always a good indicator of a deluded mind.
He once told Fwank that Kell would fight Pacquiao for a fiver....
He's going to have to fight Spence for a lot less, or dodge him and fight someone else for a lot less. I'd put my life on him beating Khan, and it's still got to be over a million, with the GGG money, that's him sorted for life.

Kell already tried this approach. He got arrested in a nightclub then stabbed on holiday with his wife. What more can he do? The knifeman is still at large, on the vast island of Tenerife.

I could watch that every weekend!

Khan is a little prick. I can't stick the tosser! Brook knocks him out in brutal fashion if it ever happens (which it won't).

So twitter was fcking me off with a bunch of casuals debating who was the bigger draw and arguing that Khan being knocked out and / or Brook being Champion meant that Khan could not be. So that was really grating at me as that has nothing to do with who is the bigger draw, not at all, so I come here looking for sense and logic and walk into another stream of odd comments.
Bigger draw is who will be attracting the most people and thus pound notes to the event. Brook probably wins, but that is not what makes an A-side.
Khan is better known, more recognisable and will shift more tickets and PPV buys through familiarity which makes him then uhm, bigger draw.
Go and show your non-boxing fan mates a picture of Khan and a picture of Brook and see who is more recognised.

He didn't have the profile to fight GGG but he did, and that was on PPV and a very good event. Don't bet against Hearn and Matchroom bringing Pacquaio to the UK, it's already been discussed. Manny is like the Harlem Globetrotters. You bring the money, and they'll come. He's just turned into an exhibitionist.
It seems Brook's dad is pushing 50/50, and Khan is pushing 70/30. If 60/40 is on the table, they should both stop being so damned greedy, and take the deal.
Besides, Khan is only the bigger draw if this fight is in the US. If this is in the UK, Khan and Brook are equal in their draw. This won't be PPV in the US, it will be in the UK.

All this talk of Khan being a big draw doesn't really add up to me, especially in the states. When was the last time he headlined a ppv over here or sold out an arena let alone a stadium. He moved away in a growth time here and has been left behind.
In America, he's always the best side and isn't a ticket sellers. He's a good, entertaining fighter who is a good opponent but he's not got a fanbase.
The comparison to him and Hatton are daft. Hatton sold out venues, ppv and was incredibly popular. It was all about him. With Khan, he's just a known fighter. Slightly better known than brook

Why does 45 / 55 never get mentioned?

And this is actually a serious point - negotiations in boxing go from 50/50 to 60/40.... which is a big jump. What's wrong with 45/55 - I think that's a reasonable number an split.

Khan sold less than 2000 for the midana fight at Mandalay bay. Research it. Last time he fought in UK he did not fill Sheffield arena. I always taught brook v Khan was not as big as froch v groves etc. .Khan has not been as big since he left Frank and that's a fact

Khan could have boxed Brook at Wembley but chose to box Algieri 7 days before for a fraction of the money.
Khan will always find a reason not to fight Brook

So, in short, a fight that was never actually on is now off?
Is it any wonder that fight fans lose patience & interest in some of these prima dona fighters & their tarts for managers/promoters!

Yep it just becomes chatter. The best not fighting the best again, the fans not getting the fights they want to see.

Khans next fight will almost certainly be his last, he's looking for the most money with the least physical risk.
No way he's going to fight Brook at this stage. He will fight some non puncher in the late summer.
