Like you said, his punching power is there, his offense is there. It doesn't matter that he can't take a punch. He'd be great defensive work for anyone training for Fury, Joshua, Klitschko, Wilder...and others coming down the pike.

If you can't beat 'em....help train their opponents!
If you can't beat 'em you won't make it.. Sparring doesn't pay a whole lot.. and if you're not dedicated to winning you won't make it, even as a sparmate... They took the fight because hammer was knocked stiff by Wach.. doesn't have a chin.. and he was super fat... But you can't forget to train against fat guys.. You train just as hard for anyone you fight if you're serious.. You train to get into the best possible condition you can and don't slack off to your opponent's level -- because you can't always get the top guys to fight you and you have to keep getting better.. And there's more to Boxing than getting into super cardio condition and being super strong.. There's the matter of boxing skills -- and you need to work on them every day and Price just doesn't do that.

I don't understand why so many heavyweights go into important fights overweight and in poor shape.

That being said, not all are so poorly motivated - some like Wladimir Klitschko and Anthony Joshua are always in great shape.

Does Price do any roadwork at all? And speaking of Wach, where is he?

If he does do any roadwork, he stops off at every fast food outlet en route & orders the house special!

It is simply baffling.

Price was lean & in shape, then he suddenly morphed into a tub of lard for some inexplicable reason.

He, along with his team have a lot to answer for.

You'd expect to see a poorly prepared amateur show up like that, completely out of shape, gassed by round two. It wasn't his supposedly weak jaw that lost the fight for him yesterday. His jaw held up fine. But he could barely even stand up, he was hanging over the ropes, he was so exhausted. Hammer, on the other hand, came in at a career high weight, 264, but was in very good shape (despite the announcers saying they both looked tired) and he looked very strong.

I really can't describe how annoying it was slogging through years of delusional Price nuthuggers claiming that he was going to 1) rule the heavyweight division 2) beat Tyson Fury if Fury would stop ducking him.

Christian Hammer seems like he'd be an easy nights work for a great deal of the Heavyweight division too. It didn't look like he was a good fighter by any means against David Price it just looked like Price was truly awful.

I don't know about that. He looked good to me. He reminded me of Chagaev.

I wouldn't be surprised, Hammer tends to keep himself busy, he will likely be at up a couple journeymen while waiting for his next payday. I good luck to him, I say
