Because they are rubbish.
Maybe you are rubbish?

It's because they don't give a poo now until March 1st when the BT deal goes live. They didn't bother with Mundine Green or Vasquez Collazo, now Daws Yigit.
They've picked up international shows early this year before the BT deal starts, but they're not going to waste their money on Daws-Yigit because there isn't a single undercard fight on there worth watching and it wouldn't bring in many viewers. People sometimes seem to think that the cost of the show is just paying Hennessy a cheap rights fee then putting it on the air. Live TV is very expensive, they'd have to set up the venue, bring in cameras, broadcast trucks, pay for a satellite feed from the venue, it isn't worth it for something like Daws-Yigit when they're on a budget and the BT deal won't change that, it's a Fat Mick show from a half empty leisure centre, it's not on TV for a reason.

As for Mundine-Green and Vasquez-Collado, the first one didn't get picked up because it was live at 8 on Friday morning, and was a terrible fight, the latter was a few hours earlier that morning, hardly prime time.

They have a budget, I'd rather they spent it on quality fights than showing anything and everything purely because it's on.

It's a bit of a let down. So many channels showing boxing but none seem interested. Could have been on B0xnati0n, SKY Sports, BT Sports, Premier Sports, Eurosport, ITV4, Dave, Spike TV or Channel 5. I wonder if there is more to Mick Hennessy than we know. Dropped by SKY, dropped by ITV and dropped by Channel 5. The guy can't seem to get a break or is there an underlying issue with him when it comes to the negotiation table?
