I agree with this for. I've not been impressed with Whyte any time I've seen him. How he's ranked so highly is just indicative of a weak division and incompetent organizations. His fight with Chisora was a fun, good scrap but that doesn't make him world level by any means.

Whyte would be better off getting in shape and pushing himself through 12 rds with the well-worn Chisora. Better that than the human dismantling Luis Ortiz would inflict.

Whyte has nothing going for him - even in this all-time low for heavyweight boxing, I can't think of one good name he could beat. I don't think he beat Chisora.

I do agree that some people overrated him in an effort to make AJ appear better. He had an absolutely torrid time with Chisora and I was surprised by how much he was hurt in that fight, which I had him losing. Conversely, I had Pulev cruising past Del 10-2, and of course the big man facilely outclassed Chisora throwing pretty much nothing but a backhanded jab, fighting as a southpaw.

In this division he's probably around the top 15, but he doesn't impress me at all.

I don't like triangle theories but think what Fury done to the same Chisora and you have some sort of gauge of where Whyte is.

Surely Chisora would be the best fight for him - total money spinner and if he loses, a rubber match for even more dosh.

I'm sure another fight v Derek will bring more attention from the press than a fight against Pulev/Ortiz/Stiverne as well.

Chisora looked like the puncher when they fought

His pop hasnt seemed particularly notable in his last three, though he's done a good job of quickly stopping journeymen (right lefty?).

He's not a massive puncher but I'd bet he punches harder than Jennings. Luis is much tighter, that wild swinging could be a problem. Lol

I've never been impressed with Ortiz myself. This world level I'm talking about is pretty thin right now, but honestly I don't see Ortiz there either though he's closer than Whyte. I'd take Pulev pretty comfortably over either on neutral ground.

I think the best fight for the fans is Chisora 2.

The first was a great fight. Obviously it's domestic/European level stuff, but great spectacle really fun to watch two big guys go at it like that. Plus you'd get that spicey build up again.

However I dont think Whyte wants it. He'll say he's looking forward not back.

It makes sense that he'll stay on the WBC route. The only possible deviation for this may be the wbo but I favour he stays with wbc.

He's called out Tony bellew but bellews not interested.

The striverne fight makes sense ranking wise. He'd have good chance winning that fight too
