Actually, it seems it's Ward that's whining a lot because of the 70% of boxing pundits calling him a cheat and a fraud, pushing for a rematch Ward doesn't want yet is forced to give.

Ward got beaten but received a hometown decision, it's the overwhelming opinion of the majority of boxing experts, on record.
Just like the whole world knows Bradley got gifted the first Pac fight.

Except for Tanzidiot forum trolls and their many alts claiming ad nauseum their opinion is golden, while everybody laughs at them.

Still clinging to the "many alts" theory crowmagnon? Still waiting for your evidence of that.

Ward won. Keep cawing but it won't change the fact.

No, the rematch will NEVER happen.

Let's have it right, for wrong or not - the W is in Ward's record.

He is NOT going to risk hiis unbeaten record by fighting Kovalev again.

It's just not going to happen.

I think the rematch will happen.. Ward is not an idiot.. He's not ready to retire just when there's so much talent in the Light Heavyweight Division. There could be big fights there for years.. A possible trilogy with Kovalev and fights with Beterbiev, Smith, Gvozdyk and whoever.. He'd be nuts to quit now.

I don't see the fight happening. Ward doesn't want it he knows he will get beat. Kovalev was the better boxer last time and I'd love to see them go at it again and i would want ward to win.

I am happy if Andre Ward decides to retire.

I am also happy about Andre Ward being contractually-obliged to face Sergey Kovalev in his very next fight if he decides to resume his career.

I am not happy about fight fans trying to dictate when the rematch should take place.

Kathy Duva never mentioned a contractually-stipulated rematch deadline date before the Kovalev-Ward fight, because there isn’t one.

Michael Montero’s claims about Roc Nation not responding to Kathy Duva’s communications within 72 hours are false. The nature of their replies might not be what they “want”, but they are responses nonetheless.

Therefore, fight fans should be patient. Andre Ward will either retire this year or he’ll agree to engage in a rematch against Sergey Kovalev. And since the S.O.G. is an unpopular fighter, both scenarios should be regarded as wholly acceptable to most fans.

I wouldn't mind if he retires. But he shouldn't wait too long to decide, because it isn't fair to Kovalev, who needs to move on with his career.

Team Kovalev must have known the possible implications of rematch clauses prior to demanding one in order to face Ward. They’ve put themselves in this situation, so they should suffer the consequences of their own decision.

Personally-speaking, I would like Andre Ward to confirm the direction of his career before the end of April, but I understand that he’s under no obligation to adhere to anyone’s demands, especially mine.

So we’ll just have to wait and see how things play out.

Taking the Ward fight was the worst decision ever for Kovalev.

First he got robbed on the purses and then in the fight.

Now Ward is just fornicating him over whit this rematch or retire bullshit.

I hope he would just retire. Let the belts go. They will soon be back to Kovalev anyways. Nobody will miss him.

Its not like anyone would agree to fight him after all this bullshit. Or pay to watch him fight

He is under obligation to his contract with Kovalev.

And since he calls himself the "Son of God" he is obliged to behave in an honorable and honest way, and not make Kovalev wait for months and months, wasting his prime.

"Do onto others as you would have them do onto you" - Jesus Christ, the real Son of God.

Let Kovalev move on then he doesn't have the straps does he.
I don't see either of them making a move, rematch clause is still there we all know that just a matter of when it goes off.

If you think it's acceptable that our top 10 fighters should compete at least 3 times a year ... once every 4 months then get on Kovalev and Ward because they're heading for 1 fight a year.

Ward is doing everything humanly possible to try to worm out of the rematch - it's just embarrassing to himself and the sport - #CoWard
