Wlad was beyond putrid against fury, but his usual schedule wouldn't even have him in full training mode yet, or just starting. He wouldn't be sparring.

I'm almost certain that Helenius has not been sparring Klitschko for the AJ fight,.

But they did spar in camp for the (first) Fury match, and Helenius has been very eager to get a real fight against Klitschko after that sparring so there might be some truth to that statement...

It didn't help Klitschko that Fury landed 10 rabbit punches to the back of his head and the referee took only one point away. That fight was a lot closer than most people think. If Klitschko looked terrible, then Fury did as well.

Tell Haye Wlad injured his toe the day before.

The truth is Wlad looks very confident and the loss to Fury has refueled his passion for the sport.

Wlad threw almost as many rabbit punches and one of the most blatant headbuts I've seen in boxing.

This fight had CASH GRAB written all over it from the start. We all saw that mess of a fight between Wlad and Tyson...THE worst championship fight in history. The lack of talent inside that ring was embarrassing to boxing and to boxing fans. Wlad just wanted a big fight to end his career and one last attempt at grabbing some money because he's all done.

It's not even close. Just recently Charles Martin Vs Glazkov and David Haye Vs Audley Harrison were far wore.

Agreed. Martin and Glazkov was actually reasonably entertaining before it was stopped because they were quite evenly matchup, but that was most definitely one of the lowest levels of skill and talent on show in the ring for a heavyweight championship belt. Fury actually showed a lot of skill against Wlad, but it wasn't pretty.

Fury vs Wlad emptied the bar I was in. The bar was full at the start but when it came to the start of the 10th round the majority of people had left.

Fury absolutely looked terrible, it was horrific all the way around. Looked like two scared club fighters. Worst title fight I've ever seen.

It was ugly.. But I thought it was interesting to see Fury box so intelligently and control Klitschko at every turn.. and not allowing him to clinch endlessly, or get set to throw a damaging power punch.. Despite his emotional illness (which is serious stuff and not to be laughed at) Fury has enormous boxing talent. Far worse fights were Ali-Evangelista... Ali-Spinks II... Dempsey-Gibbons... Louis-Davis... Jack Johnson-Jim Johnson... Ali-Liston II... Marciano-Walcott II... Martin-Glazkov... Klitschko-Solis... And there's been a lot of other debacle Heavyweight Title Fights over the years that were far worse.. At least it was 12 rounds, Wlad got beaten up, and he really lost the fight.

I'm sorry to say this but i think you have to go back and actually watch that fight again...i'm sorry to put you through that. There was NO skill on display in that fight between Wlad and Fury. The amount of punches thrown and landed in each round broke records for futility of epic proportions. Fury won the fight because he was younger and was able to run around the ring for 12 rounds. All of the boxing writers make mention of how putrid the fight was when they have to include it in their articles. It was horrible. The Karaoke was good though. Fury has a marvelous voice.

Imagine someone new to the sport deciding to sit down and watch that fight live? What do you think went through their minds? They will probably never watch boxing again after that debacle. Fury ended up finally landing a couple shots in one of the later rounds and that's what won him the fight. The rest of the rounds, I couldn't even understand how you could score for one guy or the other. If 10-10 rounds were encouraged, there would have been 11 of them and Fury would win by 1.

I know it was awful wasn't it ? speaking of newbies a lad at work and his mrs got up in the middle of the night to watch May v Pac when it was on even though neither of them had ever seen a boxing match before, goes without saying that they didn't enjoy it !

WK lost the snap on his punches in the Jennings fight - and the Fury fight was even worse - he did look great vs Pulev but that was possibly his last surge of greatness - how old was Vitali in his last good fight vs Chisora which he barely BARELY survived at the end ?

That fight was criminal. I don't blame Manny though because he was begging Floyd to mix it up with him. Floyd didn't want any part of it and had the ref there to make sure of it. sad day indeed

They probably know Wlad is getting his ass kicked. Saying that Wlad is having training struggles gives a bit of a built in excuse, plus a possible tactic to create some sort of false confidence in Joshua in him believing he will have an easier fight than he may have previously thought.

I totally blame Manny and Freddy. However, I don't think it was due to non effort. I just think they didn't anticipate Floyd to be so hard to cut off and land on. They completely underestimated Floyd's defense....or/and they were just too limited to do anything about it no matter how much they prepared.

I initially blamed Floyd for the fight reeking so bad. But, it was no secret how Floyd fights. It was up to Manny to create a different scenario for Floyd, and he failed to do so.

Freddie is massively overrated, Manny needed his peds to be competitive with Floyd, but I thought he would at least press the fight. Floyd shut him down like Whitaker did to Chavez.

Another Floyd rump swab. It takes two fighters to make a great fight. There was one fighter backing up and holding the whole night and if you don't admit that then you aren't worth talking to so screw.
