Drug users like Arreola? Right... He doesn't care who's in front of him, as long as it's a bum.

He only said he didn't want a past Ped user on short notice because they wouldn't be tested the full 6 weeks.

You beat me to this one.
I wouldn't want to face drug cheats on short notice either.

But if this fight happens in April or May. Then Wilder could conceivably hold of his next mandatory for smother 12 to 18 months.
I mean come on the guy will be knocking on 50-0 at the rate he's going and never facing the best challenger in that time.

I like Wilder but he needs to step it up

What an awesome fight! I don't think I've ever been so excited to see two such skillful, active, and fearless warriors in the ring. I'm predicting a Gatti/Ward style slugfest which will no doubt break Ike and Tua's punch output records. Nothing earns you a title shot quicker than scraping past Derrick Rossy a year and a half ago.

Wilders vocal NEW fans must be foaming at the mouth with excitement.

WBC stands for:

"We Be Crooks" - James Toney

Stiverne tested positive, right? But Wilder makes exceptions for faded old boxers he knows he can beat.

If Wilder vs. Stiverne 2 took place in say two months that wouldn't be too bad. It would be a stay busy fight for Wilder. His fans in AR or AL whatever would be entertained. It would also show Wilder is committed to stay busy and honor the Joe Louis code of fighting a bum a month or every two months.

anyone can claim some kind of BS 'world title'

but lets not kid ourselves

neither Wilder or Stiverne had done enough to rank as contenders when they fought the first time.

Stiverne was given the hype despite the fact that he hadn't fought anyone of note and also carried a loss and a draw against d-class opposition.

At the time many respected journalists claimed he was 'undefeated'??? talk about fake news !

Wilder has defended against poor opposition

his career so far is a very rich joke.

I sincerely hope Wilder unifies one of the belts instead of this crap re-run fight.

If Wilder doesn't want him to be tested positive he won't test positive. Stiverne has only been cought using illegal substances in the act, but never traced such things in his body, since Wilder didn't want them to.
On paper Stiverne is a clean fighter, even tough he roided himself up for Povetkin like a maniac. At the same time Povetkin is a dirty fighter on paper, while in fact he's as clean as someone can be.

I find it difficult to imagine a heavyweight match-up that excites me less than this one. It's a shame because I had been really looking forward to Wilder against Povetkin and then Stiverne v Povetkin.

Don't knock Wilder though, he'll fight anyone - I heard it from his own lips. The man is on a mission to clean up the heavyweight division taking on all heavyweights ranked from 15 through 25

He is a legend in his own mind, and how can he not be? With a posse and management telling him that all the time.
This Stiverene match up is a joke. There needs to be an eliminator with Ortiz, or else it makes the WBC a total joke

Allowing 5 defenses against guys not ranked in the Top 10 doesn't make them a joke?

For me, this one is litterally dangerous for Stiverne his health, just like the Povetkin fight, Stiverne isn't 1% of what he was 2 yaers ago and Wilder improved a lot since their last fight. It's like me fighting my grandma by now, you just can't do such things. I think the WBC should be brought to court if anything happens with Stiverne. I think even the bookies won't offer a cent if you predict Wilder will win.
