One thing that is frustrating me with this build up is Bellew constantly saying - I am the world champ. I AM THE WORLD CHAMP and really going on and on about it.

The response should be: "Well done, you won a vacant title against a guy in his first title fight. Have you ever beaten a current world champion?"

* I know Makabu is decent enough, but it was a vacant strap due to the real world champion being injured and by god does Bellew milk this.

The BBBoC are having a laugh here.

Hearn put on a conference open to the public, 6pm in Bellews home city. He was praying for a bit of controversy which was inevitable.

If the BBBoC like us saw this coming as soon as the conference was announced. The only reason they didn't step in to cancel/change it was they must of been hoping to get a fine in somewhere to boost the coffers.

Matchroom/Hearn/Sky/BBBoC need to take a hard long look at themselves and decide if this pantomime of Whyte/Chisora Haye/Bellew is how they want the sport to be portrayed.

Boxing is great. When this stuff happens naturally it's must watch tv. Morales/Barrera what we don't need is manufactured hatred and comings together overshadowing the hard work and graft that goes into a top level fighter.

Unbelievably, I read the report in the Liverpool Echo and this was pretty much how the article summed what happened!

Earlier promoter Eddie Hearn had encouraged the fans get involved, saying: “Feel free to shout shout what you like at David Haye. He’s an awfully nice guy!”
