to be fair though PED's don't make you a great counterpuncher

Venice- Herrera is one of the greatest displays of left-handed counterpunching I have ever seen.

I'm just commenting on his physique...I know plenty who use PEDs and it hasn't improved anything other than their look.

I imagine if I had been a corner man, and my fighter was up against Khaosai Galaxy, I'd be saying "Look at this guy, you can't stand there and trade with him". Then again Armando Castro proved me wrong.

Pone Kingpetch had a nice long hard jab, and could flurry well, but his defense was probably his weakness.

PEDs were perfectly legal for professional boxers to take at that time. A popular product of the day was Dianabol. People tried to sell it to me many times and it’s still a big seller. I never trusted anything in a pill or an injection that you took for strength. I never even took vitamin pills and don’t believe in them. I believe in Penta water, fresh, whole, organically grown foods, and range fed meats.

99% of all the Swimming, Distance Running, Weight Lifting, Sprinting, Jumping, Pole Vaulting, Discus, Hammer, Javelin, Shot Put and whatever records from the PED era have been smashed by clean athletes, who use strict discipline, nutrition, and modern training methods. I don't believe PED use has any beneficial long term advantages, because most of the top athletes I've talked to wouldn't dream of taking them. Not just because they would never risk getting caught and exposed as a cheat - but PED use was never part of their regimen and they've been very successful without it. They wouldn't bother with it.

Forgot about Muangsurin. Got off to an incredible start and then just faded.

To me, the great Khosai Galaxy was the best Thai boxer of all-time. He is a true top 100 ATG. The best fighter of the 115lb history. He made 15 title defenses and retired undefeated champion. Of his 16 title bouts, only one or two reached the distance. His only knock against would be that he didn't fight outside the Far East much. Most of his fights were in Thailand.

He retired with a record of 46-1. Wow! He kept the WBA Super Flyweight Championship for 7 years: 1984-1991.

Khosai Galaxy was nicknamed The Thai Tyson. I have never seen his twin brother fight, but, I heard that he was also very good.

Other great champions from Thailand:
Pone Kingpetch
Sot Chitalada
Rattanapow Sow Vorapin
Saensak Muangsurin
Venice Borkosor
Chana Porpaoin
Veeraphol Sahaprom

Another great fighter from Thailand was Chartchai Chionoi. He is long overdue for the IBHOF. He had 3 great wars with Efren "Alacran" Torres of Mexico. Their first fight of their trilogy was an all time classic. Anybody that see that fight would agree.

He also fought Japanese great Masao Ohba.
