Promoters know sometimes VISA can be an issue why not have a domestic guy on call for fights like this.

They did get someone but the fight was at 10 stone 2 and it just wasn't an option. It's just a ball ache giving all these tickets back etc and total loss of money but hey guess that's the game

Matchmaking is just as important as promoting the fighter.

Yeah they don't promote Ronnie though, also Ronnie was not the one who didn't wanna fight, he would have fought at 11 stone he didn't care he wanted to fight but his manager had a job to do and he did it well not thinking of a quick £ . Fair play

Got to wonder why they would ship a guy from SA for this?JamieM wrote:Honestly so stressing, not the mcguigans fault the guys visa was there he just didn't pick it up or show for his flight. They tried to get an alternative but he just can't be giving away that much weight. All the hard work was done. We had sold the tickets, he was bang on weight and he's let down. Honestly pro boxing is a tough game.

Any reason why Clark Vs Michael Roberts isn't happening? Could be a British and Commonwealth eliminator
