I'm undecided about this one. The only thing I'm certain about is that I'd really like to find out, and sooner rather than later ... yeah ok, that's two things - don't be a smartass :D

I have to go with Jacobs. He has a lot more to go with his power than Lemieux does, though, even if Lemieux's power is overrated, I think he has more than enough to seriously hurt DJ if he lands clean.

I would expect Jacobs to comfortably outbox Lemieux.

There would be no "comfort". Lemieux is a constant pressure.

If Jacobs can avoid a GGG KO and derail a 23 fight KO streak, he can avoid a Lepieux KO.

Jacobs by wide decision.

Golovkin didn't take any risks. Lemieux would.

Lol, I guess Stevens was the first time you've seen David. His previous fight was a sleepwalk and don't even think about watching him trudge around the ring with alcine. But yeah, one fight changes it all. He could squash Jacobs with a jab!

People should stop bringing up fights of 22-23-year old gassed Lemieux.

Not when he's getting hit hard by Jacobs.

 So, Lemieux wouldn't be hitting hard, but Jacobs would

Fine, skip that one. What about the one before Stevens? Although fighters the level you consider lemieux wouldn't have to worry about gassing against alcine. So David punches harder now?

what weight would the fight be at ? Lightheavy seems to be their almost natural weight , probably only have to lose 10 pounds to make 175

I wouldn't be surprised at all in Lemieux winning by KO

Wait a minute, Jacobs is still on GGG's plate.

Let's not start feeding him GGG's leftovers.
You would have to be a dickhead fan to care about belts over a rematch.

. . . and get himself KTFO.

Quite possible, but it is also quite possible that he would KTFO Jacobs.

Did I say that?

Lemieux is an aggresive come forward pressure fighter.

Jacobs is more of a boxer who happens to have a hard punch himself.

Lemieux might be less inclined to pile on the pressure if very hard punches are coming back at him, thus meaning Jacobs might be liable to outbox him.

That's not hard to understand, surely?

"Might be" is correct. "Comfortably outbox" isn't.

There is no correct or incorrect about an opinion about a hypothetical issue.

I am of the opinion that if Lemieux & Jacobs fought, Jacobs would comfortably outbox him.

I might be entirely off base with that opinion, but none of us would know if it's right until they actually fight, if they ever do.

I'm with you, don't see lemieux landing much at all.
