I'm not sure I would consider going back to Helenius as 'bigger things'. If Whyte was fighting Helenius, it would only be a sideways step. He's clearly trying to grab the attention of Wilder, or thinking about how he can get himself into a mandatory position. I'd like to see him step in with someone like Pulev, perhaps cement that WBC mandatory spot, but I don't know how realistic that is.
This is for the WBC Silver Title which should bring a mandatory spot with it.
Yeah right! Thought the Whyte-Chisora was a WBC eliminator fight? How can you lose an eliminator, but another fight later find yourself in a mandatory position? If Chisora wins this fight, then I think only serves to put him back where he was before the Whyte fight, and that is back in the middle of the pack.

From the current murmurs it sounds like Stiverne/Breazeale will be next in line. If Wilder fights Stiverne, I'd expect Whyte to fight Breazeale for the next mandatory position.
Stiverne has already been announced as Wilders mandatory. Whyte may well fight Breazeale, and his win over Chisora was an eliminator but I believe the Silver title brings with it a mandatory position. How can this be? That's boxing for you. Stiverne landed his mandatory spot by scraping by Derrick Rossy over a year ago.

Oh yeah, don't get me wrong, how Stiverne has landed himself the mandatory spot, is beyond all of us, but Chisora is well back on Whyte in the pecking order, even with a win over Helenius.

But that's the entire point on why Whyte is gonna be kicking himself. Chisora is going to jump him in the rankings with a win here. I don't think it's right, but the Silver title brings that perk!

Hi

A question to this Topic:
Helenius is fighting Chisora for the WBC Silver title-Fine
Duhaupas is the current Silver champion, now the title is vacant!
So the question is: When was the WBC Silver title declared vacant?
In my opinion Duhaupas was stripped of the title cause the fight against Povetkin was no title fight.
Looking forward to your answes, thanks a lot

Chisora still has more in the tank I figure going off of his fight with Whyte. He should beat Helenius again, and hopefully not get f*cked by the judges this time.

The WBC just do their own rules. Duhaupas was late replacement for stiverne v Povetkin which the WBC refused to sanction so they probably didn't like Duhapuas stepping in.

I don't hold any value in that belt or these other toy belts anyway. Chisora v Helenius 2 is a decent fight Chisora will be well up for this :bag:

@Naandrew

Yes they do their own rules, definetly. The date when they "stripped" Duhaupas is what I try to find out
As written Povetkin v Duhaupas was no title fight, so he didnt lost his title to Povetkin.
the question remains, did the WBC declare the title vacant right after the Povetkin fight in 2016 or sometime in 2017 already.

It's really hard to stay up to date in this title soup
Answers are welcome

The WBC "Silver" Title isn't even worth keeping up with. Hell I lose track of the actual major titles and who holds them at this point I can't be expected to keep track of every Silver, Bronze and Plastic Champion out there.

Or maybe because Povetkin failed a drug test.
