i remember there was a advert in boxing montly about a gym in boscome. other than that, i dont think there is any.

I'm a stundent in Bournemouth so spend most of the year up there (home for the summer just now, there was an advert up on the notice board in uni for Winton Amature Boxing Club it's probably in the phone book. I train at Bulldog when i'm in Bournemouth it is more martial arts focused but they do boxing there.

Cheers, will look up the Winton club. Is the Bulldog any good? It looks quite impressive on the site so will probably check it out on my next day off.

I used to spar with my mate at the Bulldog after her kickboxing lessons (and before anyone laughs, she was a well-built girl and a bouncer, and I'm pretty sure she would've kicked lumps out of me if we'd ever fought for real ). The bloke that taught kick-boxing was a proper bell-end, one of those "I'm right 'ard, me" types. The gym was pretty good though, and he was the only one there who was a chief.

And the Moon in the Square mate? I know it's cheap (and you're Scottish ) but there's better places. Then again, I haven't been in over 2 years. It always used to have some great bars and clubs, but a shortage of proper boozers.

The missus is half scottish. I always figured that the tight Scotsman was an exageration, until I went up to Coatbridge for a wedding. Funnily enough, Clair's family were all incredibly generous hospitality-wise: putting us up, buying us beers and giving us prezzies for coming, but in their day-to-day life? Ooof! You had more chance of getting blood from a stone than money from this particular bunch.

So Mini Frank says he's looking for a Harrison v Chi matchup next year.

Why would safety first Sports Notwork throw their man in with a monster like Chi, when they can rack up multiple WBO defences against guys like Priest Smalls instead? It doesn't make sense.

I tell you something, Chi has a fair few miles on the clock already, he's taken a lot of shots in his career, and looked pretty wobbly last time out against less than devastating opposition. With that face forward style of his, he could get old and vulnerable overnight. If Scott gets him at the right time, it could be goodnight Vienna. Fighters like Chi never last long in the top flight. He took serious lumps off of Morales and Brodie in their first fight, and looked weight drained and shaky in his last.
