Soon as I read the thread title these two popped in to my mind right away! I had a dream a week or so ago that big Wlad startched AJ in the first. I have to stick a score on it now! Hope I'm wrong because he's British and an AJ win is better for the future of the division but I can't not bet on It after the dream

Joshua hasn't been in with a live beast with skill. Even at 41 Wlad is a dangerous proposition. He gets a lot of stick but he's a fine boxer with a top jab and ferocious left hook. Fury bamboozled him (Ronald McIntosh eat your heart out) but AJ doesn't have the skills, awkwardness or ring generalship of Fury. He has power and grit. At 41 is power and grit enough to topple Wlad? We'll find out. I don't think Klitschko is as shot as some make out. I favour AJ but Wlad is a live dog in this fight.

i agree with everything you just said mate, couldln't put it better myself, but I know what you meant in the other post about supporting aj because he's british and that's probably the only reason I'd like to see aj do well in world boxing, but other than that I don't take to the man at all

I don't buy into his stay humble chatter and I don't really rate his boxing skills and I still can't work out what all the hype is about personally

I'll say Eubanks Jr., Making the noise he has been doing and calling out the big names he is. It's only a matter of time before one of them comes calling and he either has to dig deep and stand his ground or get put to sleep.

The hype is Hearn. Price, Haye & Chisora didn't have The Banter King in their corner. AJ has been marketed and brought along brilliantly! It's even went quicker than anyone imagined! He's got more mentality than Price, more consistency than Chisora and more like-ability than Haye.

I agree with the above. I personally don't dislike AJ, I think a lot of the forum negativity is more directed at Hearn who is always banging on around AJ. AJ seems to try hard in all he does, including in the slightly rehearsed press interviews. Of course he's not as genuine a personality as say GGG but I can live with that. He's a guy doing a job & let's face it he's been good value so far delivering KO after KO and now making a step up earlier than a lot predicted.

Craig Kennedy likes a good rumble and gets involved too much. He has been caught a couple of times but has come back to win. My worry is if he gets caught cold. Is so wish he wins the British though as he has had so much bad luck with fighters pulling out of contests with him.

would of liked to of sin him make a step up a few fights earlier than this tbh personally. yeah he delivers ko after ko but his against his run of opposition that really isn't much of a talking point at all.

I don't know what sort of step up people expect the bloke to make really. If he wins he'll have beaten three fringe contenders, most domestic opposition and Wladimir Klitschko before he's had twenty fights.

Bit lower end of the scale but Sanjeev Sahota gets hit more than any prospect I've seen.

I think it's fair to say AJ is more talented than all the guys you've mentioned there. I'm not an AJ fan boy but he's a talented big fùcker. I take your point about the hype/promotion though. A good promoter can move you on to the next level.

Yes he is. AJ is a text book plate spinner and can blow smoke into bubbles. Haye cant. :TU:

Not at all.

Joshua has not even come remotely close to seeing off his domestic opposition.

Some of the names you have on your list aren't relevant at all. He's fighting Klitschko ffs. Do you want him to cancel and fight John McDermott? It's a fair point you make if he's fighting international fodder but he's fighting Wlad so your points redundant. Any excuse for a moan though

What are you whining about?

He clearly hasn't come close to beating most of the best domestic opposition available. End of story.

Why are you arguing about this?
