There's no shortage of credible opponents at Featherweight. He shouldn't have a hard time finding what he wants.

I kinda disagree. It's obvious for a summer fight, that Carl isn't going to attract any of the Featherweight World Champions;
Santa Cruz is defending against Abner Mares.
Valdez is defending against Marriaga this weekend and I can't see him fighting in June/July.
Selby has the backing of Matchroom and he won't agree to fight away from home whilst being World Champion.
Russell Jr is defending next month against Escandon, he won't be ready for a summer fight.

So with those guys out of the way and with Carl wanting a "credible opponent" - I think that it may need to be a household name like a Scott Quigg or a Kid Galahad.

Personally, I don't think that Josh Warrington fits the mould for Frampton's requirements but he's fighting Kiko Martinez in May anyway, so he wouldn't be ready in time either.

For me - it boils down to 2 opponents - either Kid Galahad or Nonito Donaire (who is my favourite choice)

Donairre lost a World title shot at Super Bantam back last November and he hasn't had anything on since then. He would come to Belfast as a 4-weight World Champion - I think he definitely fits the description that Carl is looking for.

I'd like to see it be Selby, would be an interesting bout. And again, another winnable one for Carl.

I do agree with you on that one Stu, Galahad needs to up his game and step in against highly ranked contenders before getting any sort of major title shot.

That last fight against the wee Spaniard was Selbys last with Hearn. I don't think he's signed with anyone else. Somethings telling me uncle Al Haymon might be an advisor of his? Should be easy enough to make though if he's not tied to a promoter/tv deal.
