Duva is a very good promoter. Integrity is rare in this sport and she has it.
When you deal with sharks, you need to be a shark, and she isn't which hurts her clients. Having integrity doesn't help when others play dirty.SaadOffTheDeck wrote:Duva is a very good promoter. Integrity is rare in this sport and she has it.
Nonsense, she does great by the fighters they represent. Amazing track record.boxing_rocks wrote:When you deal with sharks, you need to be a shark, and she isn't which hurts her clients. She messed up situation with Kovalev being Stevenson's mandatory. Ward's fights haven't been handled very well either.SaadOffTheDeck wrote:Nonsense, she does great by the fighters they represent. No she didn't, Adonis bailed. I don't know what ward you're talking about. Chilemba, adamek, kovalev, etc.. They're not the huge operation they used to be but they get shit done.boxing_rocks wrote:She messed up situation with Kovalev being Stevenson's mandatory. It appears from this statement that in order for a complaint to have merit to you it must be lodged before anything deemed controversial actually occurs. Should fighters begin protesting every decision they are a part of on the off change that someday they are robbed so that your facts and statistics line up?Enlightened-One wrote:Her complaint, based solely on hindsight, is incompatible with the facts that I listed, which she is responsible for.
I'm not against neutral judges, but I am against people like Kathy Duva that are in denial of the mistakes they make, whilst using diversionary tactics to make it appear that someone else is responsible instead.punchoutsb wrote:It appears from this statement that in order for a complaint to have merit to you it must be lodged before anything deemed controversial actually occurs. I don't mind so-called country of origin "neutral" judges scoring the Kovalev-Ward rematch, but I do mind Kathy Duva's sour grapes and nonsense claims.Ossyrules wrote:I have no opinion on duvaEnlightened-One wrote:Kathy was complaining about what had occurred prior to the first fight. You clearly know a bit about boxing you your bias makes you hard to take
She made a mistake and is blaming Andre Ward.
I'm not against "neutral judges", but I am against hypocrisy and sour grapes.
I like Kovalev, I like Ward, but I dislike promoters like Kathy Duva.
Many people that frequent this forum support Kathy Duva, simply because of her affiliation with a likable fighter like Kovalev, but she is actually a big slimy smelly steaming tûrd!
But judges nationalities I can take or leave. If a guy feels strongly about neutral it shouldn't be too hard to get at least 1 neutral to satisfy

The facts I've listed clearly prove a long-term practice that Main Events has carried out for at least four years for all Eastern European and Communist fighters that they promote.
I've even listed the facts that can easily be verified?
Is Andre Ward responsible for a trio of American judges having scored at least 69% of Sergey Kovalev's bouts that have been staged on US soil?
I don't mind Kovalev wanting "neutral judges" scoring his rematch against the S.O.G., but no one from Team Kovalev should pretend that Andre Ward is responsible for the officials that scored the first bout, since that would be a monumentaly stupid accusation.
Maybe, but why is it house fighters so disproportionately benefit from poor judging?marvelous marv wrote:Coming from someone that attends a lot of fights, judging in real time is very difficult, and often when I rewatch a fight on tv I feel different about who won rounds. It's easy to complain about anything that doesn't go your way the second it happens, but to balme other people for your own mistake is stupid.punchoutsb wrote:Enlightened-One wrote:I'm not against neutral judges, but I am against people like Kathy Duva that are in denial of the mistakes they make, whilst using diversionary tactics to make it appear that someone else is responsible instead.punchoutsb wrote:

Once again you manage to post a nice little conglomeration of words while avoiding the question posed.
How far in advance of a controversial event should one begin to complain since complaining after the controversial event is incompatible with not complaining before the controversial event?
Very good point. I just don't think the judges that take the pay off are designated by geography.crusader wrote:Maybe, but why is it house fighters so disproportionately benefit from poor judging?marvelous marv wrote:Coming from someone that attends a lot of fights, judging in real time is very difficult, and often when I rewatch a fight on tv I feel different about who won rounds. He thinks the definition of fact is: bullshit, complete fabrication.boxing_rocks wrote:EO posts have nothing to do with facts but everything to do with bias. I think some Russian f*cked him up somehow.
If you followed my posts over the last couple of days, I posted a full set of stats and facts that no one can refute.boxing_rocks wrote:EO posts have nothing to do with facts but everything to do with bias. I think some Russian f*cked him up somehow.
Your persistent avoidance of my request for clarification is proof that you admit you are yet again talking out of your arse. You should apologize to everyone in this thread for making them a little more stupid by suggesting that one should lodge complaints before the controversial event occurs. Hopefully someday you realize how idiotic your suggestions are, but I doubt you will as that would take a hint of rational thought.Enlightened-One wrote:It's easy to complain about anything that doesn't go your way the second it happens, but to balme other people for your own mistake is stupid.punchoutsb wrote:Enlightened-One wrote: I'm not against neutral judges, but I am against people like Kathy Duva that are in denial of the mistakes they make, whilst using diversionary tactics to make it appear that someone else is responsible instead.

Have you paid attention to Kathy Duva's complaints about Ward?
Have you reviewed Kovalev's resume, in the context of an entire set of American judges scoring Sergey's bouts that were staged on US soil?
Have you reviewed how many of the Eastern European or Communist fighters in Main Events stable that had only American judges scoring their bouts that took place in America?
Have you reviewed Kathy Duva's complaints prior to the first Kovalev-Ward fight that related to all the judges being American?
Have you submitted a post in this thread that relates to the the thread title?
Once again you manage to post a nice little conglomeration of questions while avoiding addressing the facts of the situation.
Or better apologize to the whole forum for being the most annoying troll by far.punchoutsb wrote: Your persistent avoidance of my request for clarification is proof that you admit you are yet again talking out of your arse. Just an Easter story. Fergus has already risen once as an EO. Now bad guys like me are pinning him to a cross again.MachoTime wrote:This is getting good Fergus vs. The Forum. I'll sit back and watch.
