Re: How many more PPVs this year?
PPV worthy fights should be on PPV - my issue is Matchroom trying to sell us fighters as PPV, AJ being prime example and now Brook has gone that way. Brook/Spence is a good exciting fight but it's not PPV
Re: How many more PPVs this year?
I think we will have a record number - depends though on whether allegedly gets the rights to some fights.
I can see Mayweather vs McGregor being PPV if Sky gets the rights.
Can see a PPV featherweight "grudge" fight..... any combination of Quigg, Frampton or Selby for a world belt will be a PPV. If Sky get the rights.
I think both Bellew and Haye will be SBO fighters whoever the opponent now. So it is probably one in 2017, but maybe more... if Bellew vs Haye 2 is not confirmed, can see Bellew having 2 fights at Heavyweight both being PPV, can see Haye having one which will be on SBO (even if it isn't Bellew).
I think it depends also if "grudges" can be made also.... I wouldn't have guessed this time last year that Haye vs Bellew would happen and not even contemplated it being a PPV.

Callum Smith has Dirrell next - but the date is taking a while to come through. Don't know when they bid big money the expected the UK to outbid and were then left holding can for big money when they won the purse.brian13 wrote:Could see Degale's opponent being Callum Smith. DeGale's recent fights have been in North America, so I reckon Eddie will go for an opponent more familiar, whose name is not George Groves and opt not to do a PPV show.3132DW wrote:Does Degale have a Mandatory 1st ?mullenman wrote:Degale v froch or Eubanks...
Total guess... eddie will announce opponent soon
1st July at O2 is Degale's date on Sky.
After Eubank turned down the GGG fight on PPV for stupid reasons, I would shocked if its him.
