From an outsiders pov re America, I except vegas and NYC to be fair but come away from the big boxing states and I do wonder. DC etc
LOL to Vegas and NYC being fair. This poll is a child of another thread about Perez who was blatantly robbed in Vegas.
Nowhere has an unblemished record
Two of the worst decisions last year happened on the same card in Vegas. Vegas is garbage. NY isn't that bad, and it seems they've made it a point to at least appear to care about fighter safety since their horrific debacle in Magomed's case.

There were biased decisions in Zsolt Erdei's fights. Also, women's boxing in Germany had biased decisions in the last several years.
I've not been following women's boxing in Germany since Regina Halmich retired, so I take your word for it...what was wrong with Erdei's fights? he's got only one loss and has't been around as a major player for a while..

Just going off a quick, shoddy memory, Huck-Arslan 1 was the last robbery I recall in Germany but surely there's a few more here and there. Meanwhile, there's more or less a bad decision on almost every USA/UK card. The so called sport is a trainwreck, face it.

Just for starters, his fights against Hugo Hernan Garay should not have been wins for Erdei. I don't think he should have won the fight that he moved up in weight to fight Giacobbe Fragomeni for a cruiserweight title. Erdei was a fake champion for many years in Germany. He had soft title defenses and even in those fights, the officials were biased including referee Joe Cortez who stopped Erdei's fight against George Blades for no legitimate reason.

...yep, but you are talking about something happening about 10 years ago, plus Erdei is a Hungarian, him fighting out of Germany and winning doesn't qualify it as hometown robberies...

How about Sturm vs Chudinov 2. Outrageous robbery.

Didn't see it but there just had to be a Sturm fight in there.

Stieglitz got all possible help from a ref against Khomitsky including the stoppage.

Same in Australia from time to time. Mainly because judges tend to focus on homeboy's effort (with his record in mind) & totally ignore opponent's effort, who's from another State/Country.
IMHO, if they dismissed self programmed logic as to winner & focused more on the opponent.....things would be somewhat different.
Had to read it twice Anton but makes sense now. :)

His promoter was German based. It doesn't make a difference whether Erdei was from Hungary or Mars.
