After last night I have no doubt that wlad would beat his pillow fisted older brother.

Lewis ran from the Vitali rematch after losing on all scorecards in their first fight... Rahman was so bad he was a massive underdog to the Klitschko's. Nobody cared about those fights or about Rahman. Sam Peter was even a better champion because he easily stopped the chinny Oleg Maskaev and Maskaev knocked Rahman out twice -- so it was no accident.. Rahman''s whole career can be boiled down to the Lewis KO shot in one of history's biggest upsets. Lewis had his head locked up his ass in that fight. Fought more like Jess Willard than Lennox Lewis.SaadOffTheDeck wrote:After that Vitali ran from Rahman. Right Kalan?
Vitali ran into retirement to avoid Rahman. You can't have it both ways lollipop.Kalan wrote:Lewis ran from the Vitali rematch after losing on all scorecards in their first fight... Shut up stupid. Rahman was a nobody Vitali would crush like an ant.SaadOffTheDeck wrote:Vitali ran into retirement to avoid Rahman. Tyson was finished when Vitali arrived at the topKalan wrote:Williams got the title shot when he knocked Tyson out... Vitali had to fight somebody because Tyson, Holyfield, and Bowe ducked him for many years.
That's the worst possible BS.. They were big time duckers and weren't finished by a long shot when Vitali arrived at the top... Tyson and Evander fought for a long time after Vitali became World Champion by knocking out Herbie Hide in 2 rounds for his 25th straight KO win... Tyson knocked out Andrew Golota after that and fought Lennox Lewis 2 years after that -- but Mike had no intention of ever fighting the Klitschko's saying they were too big for him...Ossyrules wrote:Tyson was finished when Vitali arrived at the topKalan wrote:Williams got the title shot when he knocked Tyson out... So was Holyfield
And bowe even before that
Where are you getting your timelines from?
Vitali retired after cancelling a Rahman mandatoryKalan wrote:Williams got the title shot when he knocked Tyson out... Vitali had to fight somebody because Tyson, Holyfield, and Bowe ducked him for many years.

Holyfield fought Lennox Lewis, John Ruiz, Hasim Rahman, and Chris Byrd after Vitali became a World Champion, but he refused to fight the K Bros...
Bowe effectively retired after he beat Golota twice by DQ... He was too young to retire but wanted not part of Lennox Lewis or the K Bros in the 2000's.. Bowe fought sporadically in the 2000's but only awful bums.. He turned down all fights with Lewis or the K Bros..
Maybe I should excuse Bowe...he was a sadder mental case than Tyson Fury.. He was maybe not fit to be boxing for a living after the Golota fights.
Agreed Flump...and like you say, it was more of an impressive statement of intent from VK that he was very different.Klitschko was always going to be too much for Herbie. He had some skill, power and movement but he was the classic school bully, anytime he got hit back he lost. But the fact that Klitschko swamped him so quickly did mark Vitali as someone to watch, even if the belt was of the paper variety.
Not recommending you do this but if you were to sniff them you'd know where he pulls them out ofOssyrules wrote:

The current ring magazine gives you Vitali's picks.Ruthless-RKO wrote:

Which was his best and/or defining win?
What was his best KO win?
Some names that he has fought include:
Herbie Hide
Corrie Sanders
Danny Williams
Samuel Peter
Chris Arreola
Kevin Johnson
Shannon Briggs
Tomasz Adamek
Dereck Chisora

Another question..
Regardless of win/loss.. Who was his best opponent?
From the list above, this would include:
Chris Byrd
Lennox Lewis

I think he would or could beat them all.Klee Gluckman wrote:Vitali would not beat
Tyson, Holyfield, Bowe or Lewis, heck I don't think he would beat the Ike or Tua who fought each other.
As for his best win. Goodness knows.

Like Thomas Hearns, most of his memorable moments were in a loss. He showed major balls against Lewis and took some serious leather on the chin (I still don't know how he stood after that giant uppercut.) but he kept coming back with some sweet combos. As for his Ws, I'd say Danny Williams was his most dominant because he practically tenderized Williams with all the power shots he landed. Lewis is, obviously, his best opponent.Ruthless-RKO wrote:

Lewis was his best opponent... and Vitali was beating LL on all scorecards through 6 rounds... when he was stopped on cuts caused by fouls.jbizzle20 wrote:Like Thomas Hearns, most of his memorable moments were in a loss.
