Everyone liked the Mitchell brothers, trouble makers. Entertainment
Whilst I agree, someone that seems too “perfect” or too “nice”, can sometimes be less entertaining than an eccentric controversial character, I don’t feel that it’s a good enough reason to justify some of the venomous severe hate-filled aggressive comments that I’ve read about Klitschko on this forum.
For sure, everyone’s entitled to their personal opinion, to like or dislike whoever they choose, and I’m not trying to defend Klitschko if anyone has a legitimate gripe about the man. However, I’m utterly mystified about the vile comments that people regularly post on this forum about him.
I can understand people’s complaints about Wladimir being “boring”, but some of the other remarks, that are much more hateful in nature, seem utterly bizarre to me.
Hateful/vile stuff is of course uncalled for for Wlad. He is what he is. A class act, true professional, whose had a very good career.
The trouble with boxing fans, typified on this forum is extremists
Joshua greatest heavyweight ever
Wlad is top 5 p4p
Numerous fury worshipping stuff
Loma is better than Pacquaio or mayweather
These are the ones off the top of my head. All boxers discussed are very good, but stuff gets easily blown out of proportion
Wlads unpopular for his style of fighting imo more than anything else

It's extremely rare to see such a reasonable and rational response posted on this forum.

The champions before him, that held the lineal championship for a length of significant time, promoted the sport and made it better. Wlad chose to kidnap the championship and fight in obscurity for years. Boring. Bland and uninspriring reign is how it will be remembered.
When your most noteworthy fight of your career is getting knocked out by a taxi driver then that tells you all that you need to know about this fish.
Boxing will be far better off with a champion like Anthony Joshua who is already fighting on primetime in front of 90k people. Watch Boxing take off with a real heavyweight champion like AJ.
I'm sorry, but the sentiments expressed in this post are simply absurd.
It's clearly your prerogative to dislike the man, but to describe Klitschko's legacy in such an horrendously dishonest, derogatory and factually-incorrect manner is simply not acceptable.
You can say what you want and I can respect your opinion but as i said, watch how this sport now takes off with a heavyweight champion that knows what it's all about. It's about promoting the sport and making big fights, big storylines and drama. Wlad was never any good at it. I feel you have a responsibility when you hold that title and I give him failing grades for his reign with belts around his waist.
With that said...what a fight. It doesn't change my mind about his reign at the top of my favorite sport but he showed so much heart tonight and i was rooting for him to do it after getting up off the canvas. That's heart and pride. I can't say enough about the effort, it was amazing and one of the greatest heavyweight fights in my lifetime. Good job Wlad. Much respect.

Wlad and Ward are guys who would have been loved if they were from different fan bases.
Or, they would have been loved if the average fan (violence loving idiot) was more educated about the sport.

I really wonder what would happen between Povetkin and Joshua.
