I thought he was in deep deep trouble, but Wlad was too negative over the next two rounds and let Josh get his second wind. Big mistake

Ortiz beats Joshua easy, fury beats him easy, wilder who is sh*t quite possibly KOs him
Do you get any more elite than being the heavyweight champion of the world ffs ?
Wait till Josh fights fury
I think fury comfortably beats him
You have your opinion i have mine and we will see one day

I hope you are right and Fury can get his head straight and get into some sort of shape to become a boxer again , until then he's yesterdays news .

Me to mate
Yes he is yesterday's news atm And fair play to him for his win tonight, he showed grit to get up after that shot
Both men deserve credit
But I believe if fury can get himself right he will beat Joshua

I thought AJ was done but also said at the time that Klitschko was showing too much respect after the knockdown and trying to keep at range too much. When Joshua was gassed Klitschko should have adopted his jab and grab tactics, leaned on him more, clinch and walk him into the ropes, make the tired man work and wrestle on the inside. Joshua has no inside game whatsoever and when his legs were gone Klitschko should have made him work.
Maybe he was still recovering himself at that point.
Regardless, it was the most ive enjoyed a heavyweight contest for quite some time. I wasnt on the AJ hype train but cant criticise a man who gets up off his cheeks to win. Well done to both men, a great event

Have to say looking back at the replay of AJ's uppercut does it remind anyone else of Lewis's uppercut against Vitali all those years back? How in gods name did either stay on their feet?

I predicted Joshua to win in 6 but after that 5th round ended I said to the lass it looks like it will be him getting KO'd in 6 and when that right hand put him down I thought it was curtains but he showed incredible bravery and resilience to recover even if it took him 4 rounds to throw another shot, his stamina was a worry his mouth was gaping after he put Klitschko down in the 5th, it was like Price/Thompson 2 all over
I hope Joshua gets his kudos though and people don't get too hung up on his whiskers, that was a crunching right hand

Genuinely thought it was going to be over it that or the next couple of rounds. Looked like AJ was told by Rob Mc that he needed the KO or it was close so he went out all guns blazing and got the KO. Amazing victory for AJ.

I thought AJ was done at the end of round 5! He looked all punched out and Wlad finished the round stronger. Then round 6. Thought Wlad missed his opportunity by letting AJ get his second wind. No idea who was going to win going into the last 2 rounds - ultimately it was 1 punch, that uppercut that did it and AJ kept the pressure on for the finish.

Yep...
But I also thought Wlad was done in Round 5 (which was the round I predicted Joshua would win), so what the fvck do I know

This
He had a rough patch against Whyte, and a VERY rough patch against Wlad.

It was a great fight and Well done AJ ,, but he was gone , and Vlads age showed through he just could'nt finish it , and let the younger fella get his second wind .. Is he the real deal , well in this day and age he probably is , but compared to other eras NO .. But you can only beat whats around and up till now he has .. If he gets his act together and comes back , Fury's style may cause him problems but if AJ lands Fury will go

Close to two rounds as opposed to twenty seconds.

Aye that's about my take on it someone said earlier Joshua wouldn't just carry on getting out boxed, he'd throw the kitchen sink and don't think Fury has the punch to keep him honest for a whole 12 rounds. Though I think he'd make him look a bit silly for some sustained periods

I did.
Fairplay to the lad for such a giant unit he recovered well to get his second wind but if Wlad was 5 years younger he'd surely have finished him off.

Credit to Fury & AJ after this fight. And to Wlad I suppose, his chin was better than I expected.

You could say that about any fight that went this way.
But I'm not in saying about this one vlad of five years ago would've finished him
Joshua of 3 years time would take his head off again.
