Don't see why he can't go all the way after that.

Ian - hope you are right but I'm a little bit biased when it comes to Kindelan, he's my favourite amateur fighter in a long time and just can't see him losing.

quarters or semis next?
will khan face kindelan in the final or semi?

what a result!!!!!!

He could well go all the way now... although Kindelan is a formidable task..... but if he fights the cuban it will be the final so he will have nothing to lose

Wales - quarters next. He would meet Kindelan in the final

Tell you what Khan must be bloody strong for a 17yr old. I really thought the Bulgarian would rough him up in there.

Got the Korean next in the 1/4.
if he wins that he is in the semis and guaranteed a medal!!!!

come on khan!!!!!

Great performance, especially in the last round. At the end i don't think the Bulgarian knew what to do about him.

If he can give the same level of performance he'll beat the Korean comfortably in the next round. I wasn't impressed by the Korean's showing at all, he seemed to have feet of lead, and was absolutely knackered towards the end. I'll be very surprised if he can last the distance against Khan.

Also, commited to the Amatuer game for another 4 years.
Seems to be a very level headed guy.
Someone who we'll be waiting eagerly (it will seem like forever!) to turn Pro.

Just knocked out a report on the boy wonder's sensational performance:

I've lost quite a few quid on Stilianov today...but it was worth it!

Great performance by Khan. A medal of any colour would be great, and hopefully set him up for the next 4 years in terms of sponsorship/lottery funding.

Fantastic . Well done Amir . Hopefully he'll medal now .
It'll be great if he stays amateur till Beijing as he says . He could really re-generate some interest in amateur boxing in Britain .
Lets just hope some be-blazered bollox in the ABA doesn't end up pissing him off and causing him to turn pro .

Oh, man, if he wins a medal, it's huge. I remember Tony Wilson telling me if he'd won bronze in 1984 he could have called his own shots. But he was eliminated in the quarters and had to endure the Terry Lawless brand of pro management: uprooted from his home city of Wolverhampton to live in a bedsit in Canning Town.

What were the scores? I went to the pub to watch it but the barman refused to switch over from Sky News.

Magnificent win - 17 years old??!!

Hottest UK talent we've seen in years.
The Korean looks strong, but Khan has to be favorite to go through now..

Oh and guys how about we don't have 20 new Amir Khan threads after this fight?
What is worse, Amir Khans threads or Ricky Hatton ones?

Think how much time people seem to devote to discussing and debating Hatton, with hardly anyone questioning what the fornicate for....

What has he done??? Who has he beaten???? Nothing & nobody... but we disucss him endlessly...
And yet after all the bullshit, crap matchups, and all the false promises, you still choose to give him air time?

He's the best known fighter in the country, and possibly our best after Calzaghe, I think that's why. Who else do we have to talk about as a possible world champ?

It's probably been said a million times but that was nothing short of awesome.

To dominate the European champion in such style, well it got me jumping out of my chair in the canteen.

What a talent.

And apparently his 13 year old brother is just as good! Maybe they'll both be fighting in the next Olympics!
