Chauncey Welliver. Good chin, (though not quite as Kronk would describe) and not a lot of a punch.

He's not a big puncher compared to Anthony Joshua, but in a p4p sense, there's no question that GGG is a big puncher - he couldn't have scored 23 consecutive KOs if he wasn't.

I would say Holyfield possessed above average power for a cruiserweight and above average for a heavyweight (not for a world champ though) - definitely too big of a puncher to be considered for this topic IMO.

He's dropped and/or stopped everyone he's faced since June 2008.

What leads you to believe that he'd fit in the no power/good chin category?

He's stopped/dropped many solid fighters

Let's say they were all bums though...how do you figure he has no power, rather than good power that simply hasn't been tested at a higher level?

Just watched his last fight, he went to distance because he's featherfisted against a guy who has been KOed before but won because of his good chin,

He dropped Jacobs in round 4 and hurt him in round 9

Who does have big power then? Just guys with 100 percent KO rates?

If GGG isn't a big middleweight puncher, who is?! I do think his power gets overstated by some and his KO record is from a combination of his timing, accuracy and power and his own strong chin which allows him to take risks.

You could make an argument that Wilder had only faced bums up until fighting Stiverne, and that his power was overrated. I don't think you can do that with GGG - he has faced several top 10 and top 5 fighters in his division, many of whom are durable, some had never been stopped before.

And if GGG has no power, who 'merely' has average power?

Just because someone has been KOd before doesn't mean they should be every time they face a big puncher. Feather fisted?! Jacobs was young, inexperienced and took a huge flush shot against Pirog. He proved against GGG that there's nothing wrong with his chin, though to be fair GGG never hit him as flush as Pirog did. GGG respected Jacobs' power and didn't fight as aggressively or throw as many punches as he usually does, which also helped the fight to go the distance. You could argue that GGG's power is overrated, but you can't argue he's not a big puncher and be taken seriously.

Who has Holyfield KO'd in one punch at HW level? Douglas just quit, he looked competent after getting knocked down. I'm just counting Holyfield in here because he was more known for his HW accomplishments but, as I stated, he was fighting guys well above his natural weight range.

I actually meant to say Holyfield had average power for a heavyweight, not above average, but I don't think he qualifies for this topic. Certainly he was the smaller man in virtually all his fights at heavyweights, but he hit hard enough to get respect. Douglas wasn't out cold, but he was severely buzzed and in no condition to continue - he could have tried to rise, but I suspect he wouldn't have beaten the count or convinced the ref he could continue. He also knocked Riddick Bowe and Ray Mercer down, as well as stopping Mike Tyson in their first fight. I'm not saying Holy was a big puncher at heavyweight, but he certainly wasn't feather-fisted. No questioning his iron chin, though.

GGG just blows a million hits, but never, or barely ever a real one hit KO.
Even in comparation I think Povetkin has a harder punch for example, despite he doesn't have a real high KO rating, but if you see Povetkin hitting someone good then the guy won't be able to stand up for a minit (Duhaupas, Takam, Perez).

Of course Povetkin has a harder punch - he's a heavyweight! In a p4p sense, GGG is a very big puncher, his power is probably about average (or a little above) for a light heavyweight, but he fights at middle. Also, please see GGG vs Ishida (never stopped before, out cold against GGG from one punch), Macklin (had never been stopped early before) and Rubio.
