The Klits never really got to define their era by beating the best of the previous: they never fought Holyfield, they lost to Lewis (albeit in courageous fashion, the fight that defines Vitali's career). The brothers could properly hand over the baton with this one.

I think it's a great fight to be honest, thought about it straight away. The look on Vitali's face said it all after the Wlad-AJ fight.

The question is, coming up 47, what desire to train would Vitali have left? How is his political career going?

I don't think AJ would stop him either but might get KO'd late on himself!

A much more interesting fight than Pulev or even Parker for me.

I think I am right in saying, that a Vitali victory would give him the title of oldest ever fighter to win a HW title, held by Foreman at age 45.

Vitali was taller & bigger than Wlad. The all around bigger & better version of the Klitchkos. He never fulfilled his potential, but maybe he sacrificed that for the sake of his little brother who was the more fragile of the 2. Vitali knew he was solid, and was comfortable with that. Wlad constantly need to reassure himself. He's back there again after the AJ loss. The desire to prove himself again. If Wlad returns, he'll be an even better Wlad

You can't get better at 41. His handspeed is far worse than it used to be and despite being in fantastic physical conditions Wlad was way more tired than Joshua in the late rounds. Mind here that Joshua carried more muscules (10 lbs) than Wlad did, and thew more punches.

As for Vitali being better than Wlad, it's hard to say for sure. Vitali was bigger, tougher, had much better chin and stamina. Wlad, however, was faster, had better balance and footwork and hit way harder.

I think it's a bad idea. Vitali looked well past him prime in the fight against Chisora 5+ years ago, and AJ is millions times better than Chisora in everything. He is much bigger, has better skills and fastr hands, hits way harder and has much higher boxing IQ. No matter how good Vitali's chin is, I think AJ would stop him now and do it in the first half of the fight.

What loss on his resume makes you think he has better stamina than AJ? I would say win, but all of his career defining performances are losses.

But yeah he's certainly not a million times worse than Joshua. That being said AJ is better than him at just about every aspect of the game from what I can tell. Chin is the one area where he might not be.

And as for Stamina. AJ just got an 11th round knockout of Wladimir Klitschko. Chisora has never scored a KO win past the 9th. So there's really no case to be made for him having better stamina.

Ok, but you do notice that his pace slows significantly as well and he only fights in short bursts right?

I always believed that Wladimir was the more naturally gifted of the two. Quicker feet, better all foot work generally, better boxing brain, bigger one punch puncherj, ust a better athlete. VitalI on the other hand was the more natural fighter of the two, personality wise. Also of course he possessed a better chin aswell.

Wladimir was basically a gifted athlete who became a boxer.

I just had the feeling that he looked like he wanted to come back to avenge his 'little' brother.

I know he's old as space & his time is long gone, but something is niggling away at me & it wouldn't surprise if I heard that Vitali was returning.

Vitali was a raw fighter as apposed to a technical boxer like Wlad. That was always enough to get him by. Imagine if Vitali had grafted like Wlad and improved every aspect of his technique. Vitali never reached his potential, but then he probably looked at the rankings from time to time and thought why bother, they're all fat bastards.

In response to the thread title, if Vitali were to come back and face Joshua I think he'd be smashed. 5 years out of the ring is a lifetime, and Vitali is no spring chicken.

Since he's WBC Champ Emeritus he could come right back and fight Wilder if he wanted, and even though Vitali at his best would KO Wilder at this point I'd definitely pick Wilder or any of the top Heavyweight to beat Vitali. He'd probably be pretty damn slow on his feet and open to be hit these days.

I think it's BS too & it seems as if fake news is the new fad for 2017, but it's just that I had a similar thought when I saw Vitali's face after the fight & now we're getting these headlines & I'm putting 2 + 2 together & coming up with 79.

There's no way Vitali should ever come back & if he did, he'd get pulverised, but I just get this feeling that something might happen & it wouldn't surprise me if it did.

The problem with saying Chisora has good stamina is that he doesn't always get in good shape.
I agree a 100% fit Delboy has good stamina. But he's only in good shape about 40% of the time.

For every Vitali and Helenius display of fitness there's a Fury 1 and Whyte display. I always thought if Chisora was fit against Whyte he'd of won. His lack of stamina turned it into the Great War it was.

He's the sex panther of boxing. Works 100% of the time 40% of the time.
