I honestly don't think that would have been a particularly good fight - prime Ali would have schooled prime Tyson imo.

Agreed on Ali, Frazier would run over Tyson like a truck. Norton, Lyle, shavers & young are better fights for Mike in the 70's.

Hearns V Mayweather at 147 pounds

Hearns takes this one, and dominates Floyd whilst he's at it.

Mayweathers not knocking Hearns out, and he's not even hurting him either. Those who beats Hearns (whilst he was still a force) did it through aggression. A guy with Hearns physical advantages doesn't get outboxed. Ray Leonard couldn't do it, and Leonard was bigger and stronger than Floyd, with a bigger punch and more naturally attacking. Ray Leonard couldn't out box tommy. He did it through getting rough and toughing it out, making it a scrap. Floyd hasn't got that in his locker

All the things you've mentioned are probably why it's right up the top of my list. I'd love to see how Mayweather would approach it. On paper Hearns is an absolute nightmare for him. And you didn't even have to mention probably the single best punch 147 has ever seen in The Hitman's right hand!

You make good points but if it were reality... we'll Floyd is just about the most tactical match maker of recent times. I'm not confident he'd sign up to face prime tommy or maybe he'd throw out a 142 catch weight demand etc

Based on the success Frazier had vs Ali you'd have to say Tyson has a shot. He's bigger than Frazier, quicker and two handed. He has a good shot in this one but I'd agree Ali is favourite

Frazier was a lot more cunning than you seem to think. He knew how to work with what he had perfectly and what he did have over Tyson was huge toughness. He was blasted by George and not much he could do about that really but he did keep getting up from it.

I rate Frazier and he was certainly a menace at fighting inside. My posts are in no way meant to belittle his skills I'm a fan
