I think he sees someone slightly hurt, decides he's going to stop the fight, waits for a single decent shot to be landed but by that time the fighter has often recovered anyway. I'm not saying every referee has to be like Steve Smoger but Foster is the other end of the spectrum.
Almost 12 years to the day that we saw Corrales' comeback against Castillo as well

Being a referee in any sport is a thankless task you will always upset 50% of those involved. In pro boxing the amount of chirping at the referee by the cornermen is unreal. Ive heard and said by the way some crazy stuff to referees. Our british refs are brilliant guys who have only got the safety of the boxers in mind. Please consider this when you abuse them . If a football ref gets it wrong then a goal is disallowed if a boxing ref gets it wrong then somebody could die ....
every experience ive had with howard which includes 2 british title fights and a world title fight he has acted in an exemplary manner refereed the fights well. And has always been approachable before during and after the fights

Disagree on everything except the safety point.
Football refs get routinely abused far more than boxing.
And the claim the refs only have the fighter's safety in mind is ridiculous. All round the world refs are extremely biased to the home / promoter's boxer..... have you watched many fights in your time? Even on amateur club shows some of the favouritism show to the home corner is blatant....
(Or are you a ref yourself standing up for your kind?)

Ok I will answer your serious points first!

I meant ultimately that the ref is under stress to protect a fighter's health. But it doesn't mean that's their only concern....
Now on to the other nonsense - yes please post your number, name and email and I will get in touch with you gorgeous! If you want I will even talk dirty to you.... although I generally charge £2.99 per minute.... I'll give you a 20% discount
