That's what I'm hoping and praying for but this is definately the best chance smith will ever have at a version of the world titlewesshaw1985 wrote:not sure how this is winnable for Paul Smith.craigjenkins05 wrote:The fact is it's a winnable fight zeuge is beatable and still young I can see the smith 'team' thinking he's a genuine world champion if he wins this
He's been out of the ring 8 or so months. Hes fought bums since losing to Ward 2 years ago. His last decent win was Tony Dodson for the British Title 4 years ago.
Zeuge has beaten Nikola Sjekloca, De Carolis and Ekpo in the past 2 years. Cant see Zeuge coming anywhere near losing this one...

Paul Smith and Tesco Joe with any version of the world title would be unbearable...craigjenkins05 wrote:That's what I'm hoping and praying for but this is definately the best chance smith will ever have at a version of the world titlewesshaw1985 wrote:not sure how this is winnable for Paul Smith.craigjenkins05 wrote:The fact is it's a winnable fight zeuge is beatable and still young I can see the smith 'team' thinking he's a genuine world champion if he wins this

I remember him in the contender years ago. He was an obnoxious minge bag! I'm surprised the rest of the contestants never restrained him to his bed and beat him full metal jacket style!

They should put on Martin Murray vs Paul Smith for the "Ahh For F*cks sake just give the poor bastard a belt" Championship of the world.craigjenkins05 wrote:That's what I'm hoping and praying for but this is definately the best chance smith will ever have at a version of the world titlewesshaw1985 wrote:not sure how this is winnable for Paul Smith.craigjenkins05 wrote:The fact is it's a winnable fight zeuge is beatable and still young I can see the smith 'team' thinking he's a genuine world champion if he wins this

Thats a little harsh on Murray to be fair, he's always come in on the weight and gave it his all, was very unlucky not to have won a world belt in his career and is still a real pro, unlike Smigga. A draw with Sturm in Germany, a razor thin decision defeat to Maravilla in Argentina (which he should have won imo) and he was the first to take a prime GGG deep into the 'championship rounds' before the inevitable stoppage but he was still on his feet. Ok he's no Julian Jackson but there have been many far inferior boxers than Martin Murray who've picked up versions of a world title.gilgamesh wrote:They should put on Martin Murray vs Paul Smith for the "Ahh For F*cks sake just give the poor bastard a belt" Championship of the world.craigjenkins05 wrote:That's what I'm hoping and praying for but this is definately the best chance smith will ever have at a version of the world titlewesshaw1985 wrote: not sure how this is winnable for Paul Smith.

You're not wrong, I reckon he'd easily outwork Smith if not stop him late

Because the idea of that fornicator being able to call himself "world" champion doesn't sit well with me.

But it's a disservice putting the 2 in the same sentence.
Murray earned his way into contention, showed he was a fringe world level fighter and came so very close on more than one occasion against the very best.
And to top it off, at absolutely any point in their careers he's have knocked fvck out of Smigga
Re: Paul Smith v Tyrone Zeuge 17th of June WBA supermiddleweight title
I wasn't saying Murray was in the same league as Paul Smith. Merely pointing out they've both had several title opportunities and come up short. I know that Martin Murray is significantly better than Smith.

Paul Smith deserves at least one world title shot every six months
Re: Paul Smith v Tyrone Zeuge 17th of June WBA supermiddleweight title
Lot of harshness for Paul Smith.
Not his fault he's (at best) an average British titlist.
He's had a bit, (ok, A LOT) of luck with opportunities, but he's made himself "a bit of a name" with his punditry and engaging fans on message boards.
Any boxer that gets a break - I say good luck to them.
PS. I hope he loses too - I don't think he should be calling himself World Champ. Not even interim Super-Duper WBA Champion Emeritus in Recess.

At last, some sense on this board. Same for Swifty too, so we can have at least 4 Smithtastic challenges a year.boxingknockout wrote:Paul Smith deserves at least one world title shot every six months

I agree why is everyone going to give Shiite. What he suppose to turn the opportunity down. Blame the WBA for having him so high.skanksta wrote:Lot of harshness for Paul Smith.

I dont blame Smith at all for his undeserved fights
I think he gets most of the 'shite' because that's how he acts

Smigga deserves to be a world champ. He has beat some class operators in his time.
Always listening to the fans opinions as well.
Hopefully when he wins he can buy a new jacket. Don't like the brown trim on the lapels of the one he wears now.
Who is the best opponent that a Smith brother has legitimately beaten (I don't class Liam Williams as a win)
It has to be Rebrasse, Rocky from stocky or Gazza Buckland. Jay's wept.

I'll never forget Smith getting smashed in the jaw by Groves and all rubbery-legged for about five minutes after it was ace
Re: Paul Smith v Tyrone Zeuge 17th of June WBA supermiddleweight title
Not deserved, but if Smith does win then it is easily his best win and you could say he would then warrant a shot at a "proper" world championship fight - like the winner of Groves' next fight.
Yes, its the easiest world title and he's taken the path of least resistance to get the shot, but Zeuge is not bad at all and is a lot more worthy WBA regular champion than those fighting for the vacant WBA regular Heavyweight belt in the summer. If Smith wins then he's a least finally proven himself at Euro level and fringe World class and I hope then some of the flack he does get will be reduced.
Zeuge aint bad.
