Robbed blind
Worst decision of the year. It was minimum 8 rounds to 4.

Must be the opposite of Germany / UK! Maybe the Japanese culture is so much about humbleness and honesty they mark down their own fighters out of respect and welcome for the foreigners coming to their country

OK then but didn't Shiro Ken just get the benefit of the doubt in a close fight?

Ken Shiro got a close one
French TV gave Murata 10 rounds, Karim Guerfi said the wrong man won, everyone who has seen the fight is saying Murata was stitched up.

It's a setback but also it will win him publicity and sympathy and could help him. The setback can be used to a good purpose. Didn't hurt Lomachecnko. Hard luck to Murata, though.

Yeah but difference was it was a robbery, not a close one

Sounds like an absolute robbery. Looks like I have missed most the Japanese action as well, which is a bit gutting.

So it seems murata was robbed bad in his home country. Something which is very unusual.

I have found a video so I will watch it later.

Also worth noting one of the judges gave Shumenov the fight against Hopkins. That's fight was absolutely no argument 120-107 to Hopkins. And The WBA have been VERY favourable to Shumenov for a long time.

The WBA are absolute scumbags regardless this fight should never have been for a belt.

Well, it's often said that Japan has the most visitor-friendly judging :o

Just watched the Murata fight. Murata basically gave the first three rounds away by walking forward high guard not throwing punches. ( reminds me of a few fighters that ;-) )

But once he got going he was on top throughout after he got the knockdown in the 4th round. I only gave NDam the 8th. My final score was 116-111 for Murata.

Absolutely disgusting judging. It it mental that a home fighter got robbed this bad ( I'm going to do a thread on this)

I got to watch Tanaka on the free stream, very good contest against a very game Acosta who I think we will see again at world level. Tanaka will have learnt a lot from that and he has maturity in the ring way beyond his age. As long as he is brought along at the right pace he could be an elite fighter by the time he is 25.

Not seen the other world title fights yet as I can't find them online but I'll watch them when they appear.

Ive just watched it and Ive got to be honest I didnt see a robbery. That was a close fight.I scored it 114/113 for Murata(haha im gonna get torn apart for that scorecard)

I thought Murata basically gave the first 3 rounds away by not doing any work, especially in that first round.N'dam,ok a lot of his shots were hitting gloves but he was the one putting the work in early on in those first three rounds with his movement circling which is his way of seeing the angles and gaps. His style is so easy on the eye when he's in that mode.

I think the mistake N'dam made was he didnt respect Murata punches as up until this point he hadnt really thrown much back at N'dam. So N'dam was getting a bit greedy maybe missing with a wild hook but then still rushing in whereas he would normally step off and go back to his single shots again. So he got greedy and Murata pulls out a corker of a right hook bang on the chen as n'dam is swinging in.

This was the point the fight changed I gave Murata the next 3 rounds after that,he started to let his hands go was buzzing N'dam with big shots.Cant remember the rounds where hes gone down when hes thinks the round has ended and another late on where he's still dazed from a shot from murata and just collapes to his right.Only the fitness of the man keeps him up when he bounces back off the ropes,i think when he gets hurt he stays hurt for a long while.

I thought the last 4 rounds were there for the taking for Murata,he really should have stuck it on N'dam at this point and got him out of there.N'dam goes back to his jab and movement circling.Nothing on the punches but still scoring with them and Murata was sort of chasing.Still hitiing gloves a lot N'dam but he was the busier man between 8-10 for me picking some shots and staying out of range and at least landing what he could.Murata busier in 11 and 12 takes the final two rounds.114 113.

Maybe its because I like n'dams boxing style so much im favourable to him, probably is but I just think when you put all that hard work into a round with the movement staying out of range, headmovement etc and your opponent catches you with two or three heavier looking shots over the course of the three minutes then I think the mover's work gets slightly forgotten a bit.

Good fight though enjoyed it :TU:

Murata could have done more but NDam just seemed to want to survive the whole fight and see of each round at a time. He didn't try to win. Disgraceful decision. If it were cards such as 114-113 then it may not be as annoyed,

Like I said in a previous post one of those judges gaveShumenov the fight with Hopkins which was a clear shut out for Hopkins.
