An opinion can`t really be shite though can it. You might think it`s shite, but that does`t make it so, that`s the beauty of an opinion.

Political correctness in my opinion (that word again) is a contributing factor to the sorry state of society today. Fury is a an old fashioned guy that has old fashion opinions, so what. I for one would rather that than some ferret faced ponce so scared to insult anyone that he dare not utter a word for fear of the consequences.

In a world where kids are genuinely concerned about the number of likes they receive from fake friends they have never met, I think society has more to worry about than Fury calling some Albino bonced German guy "foreign" or saying he prefers women to be in the kitchen.

'Political correctness' just feels like a term people use devoid of any meaningful context. It's strange that it occurs in a conversation about Fury, given how offended his family presumably would be if they were labelled pikeys. But I suppose that's political correctness gone mad...

Call him what you like, he's heard it all his life. I saw a politician on telly the other day getting called out for being a catholic, what are they supposed to say? The bible lies?
I personally don't want Tyson to fight now.

He has a point about Hearn though. Why didn't Hearn tell Boente where to go! It's a strange one.

I'm sure Kugan will have Hearns contact details. Surely it would've been a case of getting in touch and having him deal with it. It was his promotion after all. I don't really understand it unless there's more to it

I disagree. A feature of political discourse since Blair has been that anybody who disagrees with the touchy feely liberal ideology of the left has been denounced as a racist, homophobe, sexist etc.

Only in the last year or two has the balance been redressed slightly.

Fury's a true breath of fresh air, a welcome antidote to the boring pre rehearsed guff that AJ and all the other media trained robots trot out

If you say racist, sexist or homophobic things expect to get told so. If you don't like it don't say it. Freedom of speech does not protect you from the reactions to that speech.

Tyson saying " a woman's place is in the kitchen and the bedroom" with a twinkle in his eye while his wife is within earshot isn't sexist, it's a funny comment but by the time Polly fvcking Toynbee and her ilk have got hold of it Tyson's portrayed as a wife beating monster.

I agree it's all about context, so when Tyson says unequivocally that gay people should be killed and then tries to suggest it was his cousin sending the tweet, (which is an absolute dog ate my homework excuse), he can deal with the reaction.

Do you always take everything that everyone says literally ? No room for doubt ? Does it occur to you he's just a big daft lummox who likes winding people up ? I can't say for sure whether he was winding people up with the comment you quoted but then again neither can you say for sure that he wasn't. Don't know him, never met him, but those who have don't seem to have a bad word to say about him.

No, I don't take everything literally, which is why when Fury does his nudge nudge wink wink a woman's job is in the kitchen routine I accept that you also have a guy who clearly loves his Mrs who likewise seems to love him. You can take that with a pinch of salt.

Yet I reckon given his background, his repeated comments about gay people, (he seems to use the idea of someone being gay as a go-to insult), and his repeated religious references which are issued ad-nauseam suggest that the guy probably is a homophobe. His background provides mitigation but it's not an excuse. He comes across as a Jack the lad when he's talking about some things, and from time to time he's genuinely funny, but there's little of that in comparing gay people with sex offenders or saying they should be killed.

The video at the start is a few weeks old.

Also fury hasn't posted anything on his Twitter account recently which for any fans of his must be a concern.

I just think there's always an element of playing to the gallery with Tyson. That might not fully excuse some of his more extreme remarks but let's have it right, actions speak louder than words.

And as for repeated comments about homosexuals, come on who amongst us hasn't referred disparagingly to say Graham Norton on occasion. Little throwaway remarks aren't always indicative of dark prejudice. I think there's a silent majority of people who while they would absolutely not tolerate any discrimination against homosexuals feel that homosexuals or people speaking on their behalf may be a little precious from time to time. For example I'm white, my girl is black and if a baker refused to bake me a cake and i detected some disapproval for my relationship choice from him i'd think "fvck you I'll take my business elsewhere" not "oooh I'm all offended I'm taking you to court" thereby potentially ruining their livelihood and impacting on their family - maybe they were just having a bad day. That kind of over sensitivity does the homosexual community no favours in my humble opinion.

It is usually bad and he returns and goes on a rampage. It doesn't look like he is training and this silence has coincided with the farcical UKAD hearing getting delayed.
