Floyd needs to concentrate of his WWE fight vs that irish cage wrestler and let these 2 relevant boxers tussle it out for the history books.
I'm with the majority opinion in this pick, Golovkin is superior to Canelo in every way, including footwork.

From every Mayweather comment I've read about the fight, he seems to be hoping that GGG doesn't win. In fact, in general there's clearly something bothering him about Golovkin...
Seven world title fights he had before Mayweather. If that's inexperienced at world level then most boxers never box and experienced world level fighter.

Pretty much all of those title fights were against sub-world class level opposition, like Matt Hatton, Rhodes, and Alfonso Gomez, whereas Floyd was an elite fighter who'd been in with many top opponents over the years.
Having now faced Floyd, Lara, and Cotto, Canelo is more prepared for the very best.

Night, love. X
Take it up with those who claim GingerHead was inexperienced, and try mastering the comprehension of the word "if."

What does 'If FMJ did not get an inexperienced at world level, drained GingerHead...' mean then? Are you not saying Floyd Mayweather fought a inexperienced at world level Canelo? If that's not what that means fine, I'll apologise to you, but please do explain because I can't see any other way to read that.
Wait a minute . . . I thought you were all tucked in for the night?
I meant what I said. I explained what I said very clearly. Yet you accuse me of embarrassing myself while you cling to defense of FMJ based on a flawed semantic position.
3G is fighting a light years more experienced and prime GingerHead. FMJ not only fought a less experienced, though not inexperienced GingerHead, he insisted on draining him to make the playing field less fair.
The two fights are not legitimately comparable, no matter the outcome.
You obviously need some nap time.

Why do you keep talking about Floyd Mayweather? I'm talking about Saul Alvarez, I don't care about Floyd Mayweather at all.

Why?
Canelo is bigger than Mayweather. He was asked how he thought a fight between those two would go, not how a fight with him and GGG would go.

So is Mcgregor.
Who?

I think the weight was an issue, but I don't think because he has improved since Mayweather you can say he was inexperienced before hand. He was a 43 fight pro with seven world title fights, saying he was Green is nonsense. He has as many fights as Hatton and more legit world title fights, I've never heard anyone say he was inexperienced.

Yea floyd wants canelo to win so he looks better. I do think that the canelo that floyd would lose to ggg. Way to gunshy. I think canelo has progressed a lot since then though. A year ago if you asked me who would win ggg or canelo I said ggg will destroy canelo probably won't see the 10th round but come september, its looking like a toss up. Ggg is looking like he has started to slip just a little and canelo is only getting better. If canelo does want to win he needs to be aggressive. That's the way people have had success against ggg. Fighting fire with fire. Ggg isn't very good fighting off the back foot so canelo needs to press the action. Only question is what happens when canelo takes one of his infamous breaks at the end of the round? Will he be able to weather the storm? Or will ggg wear him down as the rounds go on? I guess we shall see though

43 fight pro considered inexperienced? Yeah, okay.
You can consider the first 30 of Canelo's professional fights to be rounding out his amateur career -- because he was so young when he turned pro, like 15 or so... Experience wise, it was if he had 13 pro fights facing Mayweather. That's why he looked so damned green.. You might consider the last 150 amateur fights of Lomachenko's 397 fight amateur career to be his first 15 to 20 professional fights. He was fighting at the very top world level for almost all of those 150 and you learn so much more than most amateurs... Right now Canelo is about where Errol Spence was when he entered the ring versus Brook. Canelo fought many more pros who are on a high level than Spence has -- but Spence's skills have been rounded out with a much broader amateur background.

Golovkin beating a prime-experienced-160 pounder Canelo would make FMJ's win over a green-drained Canelo look small like a 'cherry'.

Imagine Canelo did beat Golovkin? It would be a win twice as good as anything Floyd notched up on his sorry-ass resume.

You won't be laughing if GGG doesn't stop Canelo. I've said for months now that if it goes to a decision, Canelo will win, whether he deserves it or not. GGG has to keep it out of the hands of the judges. Easier said than done with Canelo's chin. The only stoppage scenario I can see is if GGG gets Canelo exhausted later and stops him, but at 35 not sure if he can push him enough.

3G already won. He is 35 and has reeled in his biggest payday by looking vulnerable against Jacobs. We will see the Lemieux version of 3G v GingerHead. The pistons impacting his opponent will have no resemblance to anything GingerHead has faced in a jab, including FMJ's love taps. What comes behind the jab will test the beard and body of GingerHead severely. The young man may regret the three fight runup to 3G: a glass chin, a euro level journeyman, and a punching bag masquerading as a professional boxer.
Meanwhile, 3G has faced people with more speed, more power, and more skill, mainly in second gear. FMJ never faced anything close to the GingerHead that 3G will be facing, in his entire career. And GingerHead has never faced anything close to as dangerous as 3G, including FMJ.

If you cant sense Floyd's insecurity and jealousy and agenda to discredit Golovkin you're a nitwit. Frauds hate truth. ugly hates beauty. protected mediocrity hates greatness. Cowardice hates courage.

Good post. If GGG is healthy come September 16th, Canelo will get a boxing lesson.

Mayweather's a trip. Sure, G will be fighting a more prime, non-drained, more experienced form of Canelo, but comon. Sometimes a part of me thinks G intentionally made the Jacobs fight more competitive than it had to be to try and bait Canelo into making the fight. However, that's a stiff gamble on G's part as that fight could have swung in Jacob's favor.
Either way, the fight is on, and I expect G to win unless he has slipped.
