Those would be some good match ups to be fair.
I can just imagine Real Madrid players misinterpreting the Haka as strictly come dancing and trying to join in.
And Ronnie doesn't play unless the money is right

I don't pay for any PPVs

And I'm definitely not paying $200 or whatever for this one. I won't even be bothering to get a stream.

If I'm invited to someones house to watch it I'll go but that's it.

It is sure to be PPV here in the UK.

My thoughts -

The lead up and vocal sparring will be great to watch. McGregor will be a mad man and surely have the crowd in stitches - 'You'll do effing Nuthing!', 'Smash his malteaser looking head in' etc.

However, the 'fight' will be a painful watch IMO. McGregor swinging, Floyd making him look silly for the first few rounds, then a tiring McGregor looking bewildered in the second half of the fight.

Claims after - 'Come face me at my effing game! I've been in your sport, now come into mine' garbage after the UD. A total circus and a total con job for boxing fans. It's almost a WWE event...

Can you really see yourself shelling out for this on PPV? Add in the fact it'll be a 4am fight and filled with Mayweather fighters all 1-10 to win their bouts. I won't be spending a penny on it but will enjoy the build up.
What do you mean 'almost WWE' I think your doing a disservice to WWE. After years taking part in a multipal martial arts sport McGregor can't possibly learn how to box the pound for pound boxing king in a few months. He knows it and everyone else involved knows it. Boxing fans won't give a shit about this 'event' but a lot of young naive UFC fans will lap it up. It will make a fortune

Its a freak show and im not interested in it one bit. Wont even stream the fight. Might view the KO if people are massively talking about it.

I see its over 12 rounds so is there a title at stake?

I never buy PPV's, never watch the build up publicity as I've learnt it is all about selling the show and increasing PPV buys. Casuals will get suckered into buying this in their droves only to come away with a bad taste in their mouths when they realise they have been conned again by Mayweather. Unlike the Pacquiao V Mayweather con this black eye for boxing will live with us for many years.

I'm not that bothered about this, so I'll either go to a mates or stream it - both I hate doing, but for this "fight" I wouldn't care.

Davis will be on the card too, if they find him a worthy opponent the card has excellent potential before the charade.

Supposed to be Tevin Farmer. He's decent enough.

Great, a wrestler and a farmer. Get badou Jack in with a Rabbi and someone find the number of fan man, we can get him to fly in again we've got a card on our hands :yay:

Was it the Mark Hunt fight last Saturday? 2 fat slobs having a dustup but it was great action tbf!

Tevin Farmer is ranked a division above Gervonta btw, strange one.

It was the UFC heavyweight title fight mate. I can't remember their names. Some guy who is a firefighter or something? He landed what looked like a glancing blow against this other guy and he went down as if he'd just been shot. It was fuckin gash.

As I said, I'm not sure if it was this guy calling AJ out I'm just assuming as he's their champion.

More likely to pay for Belluw Clev 3. Saying that the MMA fans and for want of a better word "casuals" are lapping it up. It will probably do very well, they both know how to sell a fight. IMO it will be utter gash, probably the best fighter of the last 20 years vs a zero fight novice :brick:

Must be on Sky over here. If you go to the boxing section on Sky's website they've went over the score bollux deep on this 'fight'...

Sky are notorious for giving very little, if any, coverage to genuine fights when they're not being broadcast on their own station!

Stipe Miocic is heavyweight champion and he can punch. His last 4 fights have lasted about 10 minutes in total. Think he has called out AJ.

The fight the other night was Hunt V Lewis again both of whom can bang. They are also among the two biggest in the whole promotion.

Also heard/read that they are looking at Farmer as an opponent for Davies. If the odds were decent enough Id also back him to win.

Miocic that's the very man. AJ would fuckin brutalise him in a boxing ring. I hope this isn't going to be a trend this UFC v Boxing nonsense.

Aye I heard it was Tevin Farmer that was touted to face Davis. Decent fight but Davis would win comfortably IMO.

Agree completely. Miocic has 'good' hands for UFC and I think a bit of a boxing background. No doubt his power looks better due to the glove size but theres no way he beats AJ in the ring. Though I would give him a better chance than Connor - if the fights were legit.

And yeah Davies likely beats Farmer but I think you could get some juicy odds on Farmer considering the hype on Davies at the moment based on two very good performances but I believe Farmer is slicker and better than those. Like I say a value bet would be the plan based on the odds offered.

The best analogy I have seen is that this is like the best decathlete in the world taking on Usain Bolt, at the 100 metres.

This fight isn't about Boxing or MMA is only about money, It's not aimed at hard core boxing or MMA fans, it one for the casuals, random sports fans, entertainment seekers and they are way more plentiful.

I know this will be a fight where pretty much everyone will be massively disappointed and saying what a pile of crap and that they knew knew What would happen and what a mismatch.

Will it be rubbish, almost certainly. But will I watch it, will I stay up to watch it, will I or someone I know pay for it, absolutely.

This is the biggest freak show in town with two of the biggest ego's and personalities in sports.
