- Ring had god jr highly ranked before the first Kov fight, but he was only around 18th on boxrec.
I'd say #1 stink4stink fighter in boxing, even worse than TUE-49-0. Backed out of vada, looks ok against green or smith quality, but any top fighter he turns billy goat dirty. Didn't give him a single round because most of his punches came leading with his head to grab and punch. At least the derided John Ruiz had the courtesy to jab before a grab. Completely outfought at range and any exchange, but the disruputable and dishonorable, he's their new squeeze.
Let this be a lesson to good fighters sacrificing pay to fight the best. Stevenson has it right in Montreal and god jr best stay at home as he'd be a breeze to mug. Kov made a pittance on this fight and Duva should rethink her plans. Good news is Prince gonna take a huge cut of that 11 million.

Yeah, it's definitely true. Kovalev probably rolls down under Lomachenko and Crawford. I'd still have him above Inoue, though. His loss doesn't really shake the p4p list up much since he lost to another p4p fighter. If anything, you could argue that Kovalev and Ward are 1-1.

Ward isn't in my top 10 P4P.
He has never defeated a decent opponent without using a illegal tactics, a corrupt referee and/or corrupt judges.

slappin soggy is P4P the dirtiest fighter in the history of boxing between the low blows the head butts the eye gouging the biting the scratching the hair pulling the wrestling the buying off of officials no body in boxing can touch him and on top of that he surrounds himself with a retinue of lowlifes scumbags unprecedented in the history of modern boxing they say the smell emanating from "angry" virgil hunter's gym is absolutely putrefying

How is that whining? Truth is he is a really good boxer who learn how to use everything he can to win fight.
He is not the fastest, doesn t have the best footwork, jab, hook left hand or right hand. He is not that great defensively. Even is chin is not rock solid . Good but not Gatti like.. So what make him so succesful. Strategy, illegal tactic and hometown ref and judges. In the end he is a succesful winner but ill watch a 100 Kovalev fight before half of a Ward one.
He is not P4P. He is top 10, he was top 3 when he fought Froch now he is no more then a bad version of B-Hop.

It's like that.
What say you ?
Crawford wipes his ass with ward.
So will Lomachenko.
I think Lomo will run out of time to achieve that.
Maybe if he turned pro after his first gold medal. But the top fights at a weight he is comfortable at are slipping away.
Sosa was the only guy to put his neck out and give it a go, look what happened there.
No one is beating down his door to have a go at the belt

Achieve what? Ward has 4 good wins on paper, Kessler, Froch, Kova x2, and 3 of them will be forever disputed.

Exactly.
Your agreeing with me about disagreeing that Lomo will achieve P4P #1.
He can't do it for reasons in my quoted post

I agree Kalan. This is BS. HBO wants him to be No. 1, so Max Kellerman ignores the low blows and declares him the best because he stopped Kovalev, but not legitimately.

Ward's resume is the best on paper. PFP No. 1 to me means that you have demonstrated a clear and legitimate superiority over great opponents in a way that sets you above everyone else fighting. Froch and Kessler were formidable fighters and Ward made them look like minor threats. Still, Ward now looks like he had some help when he got in the ring with the one guy who really seemed a threat to him. I don't rate him PFP No. 1, or even top five. He should stop complaining about what respect he gets and be grateful for he what he got. Some people don't get breaks.

Who beat the better fighters. Generally that's the better fighter not who looks better against inferior opposition.

I agree. There is no way that Ward is better than he was when he beat Froch. This is total bullcrap that he is the best pound for pound. Better than Lomachenko and Golovkin? Ward is not better than he was when he was in his prime a few years ago. One controversial win by decision and one controversial stoppage over Kovalev does not make someone P4P No. 1.

If Kessler was such a minor threat, why did Ward need to repeatedly headbutt him and hug him for most of the fight ?

Exactly what? First of all, p4p aren't solely based on resumes. Second: Ward has only ONE undisputed win over a top fighter on his resume.
If Loma beats Garcia, he will be undisputed p4p #1, period.

Keep the hype train on I bet before the fight you probably said the winner would be p4p #1 now since it didn't go the way you thought. It's someone you keep that hype train going I'll actually make what happen in the ring matter.

You'd lose that bet. Which way did I think it would go? I thought/think Crawford was/is better than both of them. That's my opinion, that's p4p, by all means put forth the facts that prove me wrong. Double points if you get how I thought the fight would go.
