A lot of them are 30+, but there's reasons for each of them being there.

Saunders hasn't been active in ages, much like Hall (albeit not as badly as BS), so as Matchroom fighters they need to get out at some stage. Being relatively local, it makes sense to have them on. They're not topping the bill. They're not being advertised as the "Next Gen" from this promotion.

They're putting their eggs on Fowler and Kelly. Whether you think they are or not is entirely subjective, but from MR's perspective, that's the "Next Gen" and everything below is just a supporting cast to a) sell tickets b) get fighters active again, shake off the rust c) a bit of both.

The likes of Baister, Vallily, Jonas are, whilst older, at a relatively "novice" stage of their career.

Some of them in against easier opponents, there's still the chance for someone to emerge. You can still recognise skills, just don't rely so much on the records or Boxrec rankings. Use your eyes. It's just a chance though. We'll have to wait and find out. I wouldn't commit to knowing anything about for example Kyle Redfearn. Let's see what he's like and who he is.

Is it a brilliant card? Nope. Is it a good card? Up for debate, but probably not. Is it an awful card? Not for me. It's decidedly average, for me. I'd feel the need to give it more stick if this was being promoted to death by Sky and it's hardly getting much mention. It's being taken for what it is, a reasonable Small Hall-er.

If you wanna get your knickers in a twist over something, wait for Frank Buglioni headlining the O2 with a similar supporting cast of knockover jobs. At least this card knows what it is and is being promoted as such.

It's not that much different to BN having their shows from Brentwood or Bolton or whatever other provincial outpost. Not everything needs to slick big bollocks "STACKED" with 50-50's, that often don't turn out to be that.

Understand the above but the show was made for Josh Kelly, who's headlining.

At least the small hall shows for BN have two or three decent match ups, last one was Skeete - Singleton and Markham - Mullender. The Bolton show last time out on paper wasn't great but that was a VIP show and turned out well.

The frustrating thing is the poorly matched low level opponents, surely get somebody better for Stuart Hall, who they're touting for another world title show. Likewise with Fowler, he wants to be moved fast, beating Georgia's fifth best light middle does naff all for him.

The Valilly fight could be OK, Menduou is no mug and he was simply too small against Dubois.

11 opponents announced at the moment. Just 3 have winning records. Literally every single opponent is coming off a loss. That must be some sort of record for a televised show?

Am I the only one who sees incredible potential in Saunders? I've really rated him since he was a kid. Easily better than Fowler!

I'm not getting twisty at all. Just explaining. Look beyond the records. If you can't, don't bother watching. It might be alright, it might be total dogshit. Watch and find out. Or just ignore it.

The only thing positive about this card is the fact that Adam Smith might not be commentating.

13 fights, 13 home wins and Sky shoving it down your throat that all the home fighters are exceptional talents.

I like the look of Kelly and Fowler but they aren't headline material yet. Nxtgen sounded a good idea at first but if this is it, bloody hell, can we see the generation after please?

It's a record and watch on fast forward when you've got an hour spare the next day.

At least put one of the local guys in a decent match up. Every fight could be an opening bout for a regular card and even then, most of them wouldn't make it. Garbage.

On my sky epg it says that they're showing hall and Kelly fights.

It's a shame the card is so shocking - this NXTGen could be a really good idea.

It would be raw and exciting, like watching League2, but instead we have a £10 accumalator on the favourites to winning you 33p IF you shop around wisely.

Jeez we're 25 minutes into the programme and we've had a one round mismatch and a load of waffle.

I didn't even bother putting it on.

Fowler's head shots didn't seem to have an effect on the Georgian but the body shots were class, he did look open though and got caught more than once exchanging
