I'd love to see him come back and prove me wrong, you're right that he was barely touched in his last 3 fights, but I'm afraid I'd need to see more. I think Joshua gives him a Hearns/Duran. Believe it or not, I like Fury. He just doesn't impress me outside of his willingness. None of these guys, with the exception of AJ, do.

He would be in my top5 no doubt about it, his physical size place first for me as a big advantage for him, in second comes (the sum of): punching speed, defense, footwork, headwork, ring IQ (the wise stance changes and philly shell defense he did sometimes), dodge and power, since all are above average for a HW in modern days. He is a good boxer yes, I personally don't hate but I see him as too idiot outside ring (just as Broner) trying to call attention all times as a child in the supermarket, never a gentleman. Nowadays, I don't see most complete "all around skills" HW fighter in the world as Anthony Joshua, then Povetkin and Pulev (klitchko had his time otherwise would be in the middle). :bag:

AJ could very well run through Fury, even the 2015 version of TF, but in my opinion that would be a power thing. Give each of them no power, and I think Fury would outpoint AJ.

What makes AJ better in the skill department?

"Loser to the Stars" Chisora never beats anybody worth a sh*t...so what?
He's about as good as Whyte
I agree with that. Neither of them are particularly good.

If AJ had no power, he'd be a completely different fighter. If you take away Fury's size and reach...........................

I understand the context of the skills, I consider power a skill and I don't see the skills in Fury that you do. The Wlad fight was the worst title fight I've ever seen. He certainly earned the victory, but it wasn't some Whitaker masterclass like people make it out to be.

He's not a coke head piece of sh*t that I hate

No need to call me out on my bias here. I openly admit it. I hate Tyson Fury.

It should be noted though there other fighters I hate, and I don't have the unkind words to say about them or their ability that I do about Fury...what's that tell you?

If you took away Fury's size and reach he'd have a losing record.

I consider power to be more of a raw talent than a skill. If a crude KO artist brutally stopped someone with a wild combo, I wouldn't say that they showed impressive skill.

He certainly wouldn't be out-boxing the best version of someone like Eddie Chambers. Cunningham would have destroyed him.

For one thing he's not active, even if he was the answer would be no.
As I know he announced that he would be back by the end of this year, and he is still very young. So, I consider him active fighter.
Who is the more skillful HW, right now ?
Well then your definition of active fighter sucks. He hasn't fought in almost 2 years and has nothing officially scheduled. Even if he schedules something, until he steps back in the ring again he's not active and he's not ranked.
OK, let us discuss about his skills (Chisora 2 version).

Ok let's. He was tall and Chisora couldn't land clean punches on him because he sucks. Good talk

I shouldn't say it so cut and dry, but i'd consider Joshua's power at least equal in 'skill' to Fury's best attribute; size.

And considering Joshua is only a few inches shorter than Fury, Fury's size advantage wouldn't mean much in a head to head matchup between the two either.

Joshua unlike Wlad isn't gonna just stare at Fury for 12 rounds like a frightened rabbit.

I think Fury moves better than Joshua, uses angles and pivots better, and has shown versatility to effectively switch hit. Make them the same height, and I don't think Fury would lose these advantages.

Okay, let's assume power is a skill, what else does AJ do better?

I'm rarely wrong when I'm 100% certain on these allegedly 50/50 type fights. I can't see any scenario where Fury could beat Joshua.

Faster, cleaner punches, disagree about the jab. Fury has better stamina, that's the only edge I see.

He probably doesn't have now considering the obesity and the cocaine abuse. AJ is a more dedicated professional and stamina can be improved. I figure AJ's stamina will be better in his next fight in fact, or at the very least he'll learn to pace himself better.

We've already seen "the best" of Fury come and go.

Yes, but Fury was not dropped by Wlad.

Because he wasn't in a fight with Wlad. He was in a staring contest.

I think hand speed (certainly not foot speed, edge for Fury there) is about equal, and to me that's another raw physical talent anyway. I haven't really seen a particularly effective jab from AJ, and he certainly didn't control Wlad or Whyte with it to the extent that Fury controlled Wlad and Chisora.

I suppose you lost a "big money" betting against him. I donot want to be misunderstood, I do not like TF's behaviour, but he can attract a lot of new fans for boxing. Believe me, some of my friends (casual fans), are his followers on Instagram, here on fukcing Balkan.
