Impossible to judge Povetkin, hard to know which ones of his performances are drug related.

Wonder how the drug testing would work for this fight.
Call off all testing and let them both come into the ring like the Incredible Hulk vs Doomsday from the end of Batman vs Superman.

Has he sorted his IBF mandatory with the Takam fight or will they try to force Pulev again?

I assume Ortiz gave up his mandatory position with WBA by agreeing the Wilder fight.

If Povetkin fails another test we could end up with Hammer as mandatory :o

Two juice heads boxing each other

Think Povetkin would definitely hit hard enough to KO AJ, and do it too

povetkin in his 2015 roid mode certainly hits hard enough to hurt aj but aj isnt just going to stand there letting him whack him. aj would keep distance pretty easily and bust him up imo. povetkin would be a mess.

and that assuming peak povetkin. he looked like shit last fight and wasnt really hurting rudenko.

Povetkin never needed such things like all the Americans do.

AJ should win easily enough, and I’m not that’s sold on him as a right good heavy rather than just an alphabet soup belt holder yet.
Povetkin isn’t really especially good. He was dreadful vs Huck, who couldn’t use the physical attributes that made him a very decent Cruiserweight and ended up life and death with him. Wlad then absolutely thrashed him, I was really geared up for that fight and rooting for Povetkin but he got an absolute doing - bounces up and down, out fought and out boxed and looked dreadfully naive and inept at closing down the bigger man and getting inside. He’s looks an old 36 to me and put in a pitiful performance against the genuinely ordinary Rudenko.
Would be a good fight for Hearn to make as Povetkin Still has a good name value but I think it would be an easy night for Joshua

After the trouble Takam gave AJ I think Povetkin beats Joshua especially if this fight takes place in Russia...

takam is crafty and came to survive early. povetkin has more firepowrr than takam but imo is more likely to walk into shots and get beaten up faster.josh lost like 1 round against takam and ppl poo poo him, but remember takam-pov was officially an even fight until 9th.

Josh may have only lost 1 round but he didn't dominate the other rounds either.
Its personal opinion but I believe Povetkin gives Joshua a much harder time than Takam did.
This will be fun if it goes to purse bids...

In my opinion, people underestimate Povetkin here pretty much. I'd say, Povetkin has more chances, than Ortiz, for example. AJ must rationally use his size not to let Povetkin in, he'll take victory then.

Povetkin is soft and undersized.

Had the look of a good pro once but lost all momentum and will never get it back.

Joshua should pummel him but hopefully works on looking a bit more lively after that last fight.

Simple win for Povetkin tonight.
I reckon he gives Joshua a tough fight if they meet...

Joshua uses his size really well.

I see Povetkin being too small and AJ keeping him on the end of his punches.

Unless a ‘Peak’ Povetkin turns up again.
