Not yet. warren said he wants to make Yarde v Buglioni and the board have told him they will allow it if he can do the deal.

As long as Yarde fights Burton or Buglioni I am happy.

Same mate. Good little pick n mix of fights that could be made there.

I like Yarde, and he can clearly whack, but you just wonder if he's over-confident in his ability. Smashing no-hopers to bits is one thing but Burton will be something else.

I'd still favour Yarde to win but, sooner or later, it wouldnt surprise me to see Yarde having a similar night to the one David Haye had against Carl Thompson.

Burton is the grandson of “Big Just"

He won't go down without a good scrap. Tough tests for both guys.

I think Buglioni's toughness could be Yarde's kryptonite if they fought, but Burton has that disadvantage of being easy to hit and not so easy to hurt. However, two fights that I hope happen because it helps the sport whittle down the pretenders.
Anthony Yarde has yet to go past the fifth round so far as he has been blasting everyone out so far. So Hosea Burton would be a good test for him along with Frank Bugiloni if he had world title aspirations.

I agree mate. Apparently Yarde ain't going the British route from what I've heard. That usually means they're ducking?

Just watched some IFL interviews with Frank, Eddie and Yarde and his trainer.

Lots of pen waggling, boasting about offers and accusations of ducking fights.

Too many egos in the mix, everyones got their opinion on who should be fighting who and I worry we might not see any of them.

I'd happily see any of these 4 in together at this point, it's a strong mix domestically at LHW

I'm starting to have doubts on Yarde fighting either Burton or Buglioni. Frank keeps referring to Yardes "world ranking" obtaining by winning the illustrious WBO European title.

Right now he isn't ducking Burton because there is clear intention to fight Buglioni. It can't be a duck if you fight the opponent who stopped the Burton.

However if he fights neither and then someone perceived worse than Burton and Buglioni then it is a crystal clear duck.

Let's wait and see what the sitatuion is after purse bids.

Yeah FW makes all these great offers - how many of the fights ever come off ?

It'll be Buglioni's best ever purse etc.

Flanagans not had a live opponent yet - he's called Linares out umpteen times - made him offers etc. Yet he's fought Mitchell, Crolla x2 and now Campbell so he can't be that difficult to deal with.

great interview with hosea burton in b0xing news this week giving his take on yarde avoiding him. burton is right - if yarde is as good as he is being billed as being, then him against burton is a great fight.

Yarde pulled out the fight before purse bids today.

Any reason given? Would rather beat up another Hungarian?

Burton is a very good test to see where he's at.

Yeah but that Hungarian was no8 rated by WBO according to FW so Yarde now has rating and is passed Burton's level.

Ironic that the 1 loss that Baranyi had on his record before fighting Yarde - is now Buatsi's 2nd opponent on 1st Sept to put the opposition in perspective.

yarde must have been so impressed with how the wbo title has helped Flanagan that he begged to go that route.

I just don't see the sense in ducking Burton unless they all know it's too much too soon despite the bluster.

If yarde has hopes of world level he needs to be beating people like Burton to get there. Yarde comes out of this badly, looks like a bottle job

I seriously doubt Yarde is bottling anything but I'd say Fwank is making the right decision.

Has Yarde actually pulled out of this? If, so it really does not look good on Yarde - even if he hasn't 'ducked' him.

Anybody advising Yarde would have recommended doing the same thing.
Burton lost to Buglioni, W@rren wants the Buglioni fight for his man. Chasing the better man is hardly ducking...

But this is the route you have to take. Yarde is supposedly fighting Ricky Summers next, if they don't want Yarde to have step backs, then why offer to fight Summers? Surely fighting Burton (who is a bigger name than Ricky Summers) and then if he wins, he has a shot at the British title against the winner of Buglioni and Johnson.

I think TV channels play a part here. Fwank is building up Yarde, he can hardly let Yarde go appear on Sky, vs Burton, when he's clearly building up Yarde and Dubois in London. As far as I can see if Eddie won the purse bids that fight would go on Sky. Fwank would need to win the purse bids (and Eddie was putting in a big bid, and let that be known), then trust that the fight didn't fall through at late notice. Not saying anything like that ever happens in this sport of course. Fwank will feel he is better off with total control - its his TV channel, his promotion, and (lets be honest) his version of the European title up for grabs. Not knocking him, I would probably do the same myself.

As for Yarde vs Buglioni I think Fwank can see that Yarde would have no problem dispatching Buglioni early and impressively.

if they genuinely think that then surely they should let him beat up Burton 1st and force the title shot. I agree that if he fights Buglioni it isn't a duck but I reckon he is going to duck them both and fight some East European journeymen instead. For what its worth I think Burton would win if they fought now.

The fight has been offered to summers for 16th sept but he had to turn it down as the dates clash with a family holiday. Ricky did say his open to the fight at a later date so it's down to yarde team.

Yeah he or his team pulled out - Seen Hearn also said he'd submitted his envelope with bid and was still live until yest AM - he checked and they had pulled out.
