Good motivator for Huey.
He will be there.
1, he got his way and it's a hometown fight
2, his health problems are finally under control.
3, it's his biggest payday.
4, it's the easiest chance at a belt he is ever going to get.
5, his credibility will be totally shot if he fails to make it.
6, someone else will be standing in the wings to take it if he doesn't show.
7, his fans will turn against him after 2 let downs
8, there will be financial penalties for him
Huey will be there.
At least I hope he is, I can't see Parker getting past Whyte just yet.

Stupid!
Hughie is a clown and deserves to be treated like this.
Has someone hijacked horse's account?
Had a little chuckle at that too .

Could Parker be the first HW in history to be stopped by the DR, with spot juice in the eye effecting vision.
I'm Sky requesting a bet that one.

I must confess I haven't watched much of Parker's recent fights but you (and I'm assuming by your username you are a Parker fan) don't think he will get past Dillian Whyte?
Whyte lost to Chisora.

Whyte lost to Chisora.
I am a fan of the man, but not yet a fan of the boxer, he still has to prove he is top shelf and in my view Huey is just a step towards that. Assuming he wins, that is.
And no, I don't think he can get past Whyte at this stage, but he is close - maybe after Fury if all goes well.
If you haven't seen his last 3 fights, then I should tell you that the Takem and Ruiez fights were closer than one would like, given that they were stepping stones.

Surely you'd expect Whyte to go similarly, Parker just scraping through?
Parker has a much better workrate.

I'm not sure if Whyte is better than Takam or Ruiz. I mean, Parker is flawed and losing to Whyte wouldn't be a shock, but you can't see Parker beating him at all? Would you say the same about Parker beating Chisora?
Incidentally, I've never had Whyte beating a top 75 HW, and I think the Chisora win is at least as knockable as Parker's Takam and Ruiz wins. DW went through hell and at times didn't look far off being stopped by a guy who isn't really a puncher..

I just watched the Takam fight. I stopped scoring because I lost interest in it a bit to be honest but I had it 4-2 to Takam after the half way mark. Parker has got fast hands but is terribly slow on his feet, no?
I'm not sure where this idea that Dillian Whyte is a good boxer comes from. He was battered by a green AJ for all but one round and got a gift against an ageing Chisora who had been handled easily by Pulev a fight previously. I like him and everything, he's just not very good.
Hughie can't be very good either as he's openly swerved Dillian: his competition has been so bad I've rarely ever watched him, to be honest.

Parker did a better job on Takam than Whyte did on Chisora. Whyte gave us the better photos though
IMO, Whyte got seriously overrated because of the AJ fight, and there are still vestiges of that despite the Chis fight bringing things much closer to reality.

Hughie went from Fred Kassi, to bottling Whyte then to fighting for a world title, absolute joke.
I agree that Whyte is a poor boxer, but if he is truly in standby for this fight it's only good for fans.

To expand Hughie went from fighting Fred Kassi turning down Whyte, Joshua,Miller, wilder and being charged by UKAD to a world title fight

I don't know the details of the others, but Joshua offered him peanuts, and WIlder didn'tt give him enough time to train for it, and with Hughie's health problems, it'd be mad to cut corners.

Any outcome was possible from the Takam fight. There was argument for a home win, an away win and a draw. Had Takam stepped on the gas a little in the middle rounds, it would have been a comfortable win. I personally called for the draw, but with home advantage, a Parker SD was not at all surprising.
I think the same outcome would be against Whyte. I don't think it'd be a very entertaining fight, and it would be dragged to a points win for Parker. He's a backfoot fighter and Whyte isn't the most sophisticated at closing off the ring, so there would be a lot of unsuccessful cat and mouse. I would like to see Whyte fight a genuine top 10 opponent, but don't think that'll happen in August (unless Hearn can pull off Breazeale at short notice).

Whyte can't beat anybody of note. He's so unfit he made Chisora look rejuvenated. Parker would whack him. So would Takem and Ruiz.
Hughie is a bit of a dark, blotchy, horse here, but his weak opposition makes him look suspect. Parker should go through him.

Anybody of note is a pretty relative term in the heavyweight division. I wouldn't rule him completely out against anyone. Povetkin would probably be his tallest order.

I think you have something there.
For his whole career Huey has had a dehabilating illness. It has affected his stamina and ability to train hard. If that is under control, like he says it is, then his physical and mental health will be a big factor in how he fights in September.
It might not change anything, I'm not a doctor, just an amateur breast inspector. But let's just see how he performs in this fight

I think you're wrong from the first sentence. Firstly, Chisora is someone of note. He's not top 10 material, maybe not even top 20, but a top 30 win is a lot more than a lot of other people have (like Hughie and Ruiz for example).
As we found out with Joshua vs. Klitschko, looking gassed in a fight does not necessarily reflect someone's fitness. I believe that Whyte is very fit, as we saw going into round 12, but during the fight he shipped a lot of punches.
As we have already established in Parker's most recent fights, it's quite unlikely he'll go through anyone at the moment. If anyone that comes through the Fury camp will tell us, is that they are generally technically astute, and smart operators. This has got a UD/SD written all over it.

I watched the Takem and Ruiez fights twice and they were both pretty close. Takem slowed down in the second half which allowed Parker to close him down.
If your investigating Parker's resume, those two fights are pretty much all you have to go on.
With Parker's defensive flaws, Whyte has a punchers chance unless they have been rectified. You would have noticed in the Takem fight how he was landing left hooks to Parker's chin at will, Andy Ruiez was doing the same despite a deficit in height and reach.
