He did, absolutely. That knockdown was clean as a whistle...how this dope Kalan above can call that one illegal just proves that he doesn't understand the sport of Boxing. He's also the one pissing his pants every day about Ward low blows....the guys not worth arguing with. It's like he's the ant and we're the magnifying glass.
The episode did start with a forearm shove which pushed Beterbiev off balance which was followed by a punch. Beterbiev fell only because he was already off balance. He was clearly not hurt at all.
Another misfit toy showing he doesn't belong in the discussion. It's the boxers responsibility to stay on his feet and not let a clean shot take him down. Don't you guys watch though? Like i'm blown away here. You do know the object of the game right? Boxers use elbows, shoulders, hands to unsteady another boxer to land a shot to get the knockdown. Every single boxer has these moves and techniques. That was a textbook knockdown in ANY true knowledgable boxing fan. You guys really need to know the rules before mucking up this site with this drivel.
That was an absolutely meaningless knockdown. It didn't change the fact that it was one-sided fight which ended by a stoppage by Beterbiev. He didn't care about defense much against somebody who couldn't hurt him.

Just keep ignoring the fact that Beterbiev was shoved off balance by a forearm... You SHOULD NOT get credit for a foul assisted knockdown, whether it's a trip down, a stepped on foot, or a shove assisted knockdown. I suppose you believe Chuck Wepner really knocked Ali down. It was a miscall, but an idiot like you will not even comment on the clear video evidence that Page illegally shoved Beterbiev off balance with his forearm. Boxing has rules stupid ass.

There's no such thing as a "meaningless" knockdown. The whole object of boxing is to not get knocked down. You and Kalan could be two of the dumbest people I've had exchanges with on this site. I've been a member here for like 4 years i think or maybe 2, who knows. Either way, that's a pretty horrible thing to say to someone but I really mean it inside and thought you should know.

Yes, there is. Knockdowns which are a result of a fighter losing balance which didn't any influence on an outcome are meaningless. A similar example is Kovalev "dropped" by Caparello.

Every knockdown is significant in the fight and historically. Boxers that haven't been knocked to the canvas are very proud of the fact and does mean something. Not only is it important in any fight you see but it means something to the boxers, the fans and history as you just proved by referencing a fight that no one really saw. So you proved the point, thank you.
