Browner spending most of every round shaking his head to try and convince everyone the punches aren't landing.

Can only make a case for Broner to have won 1 out of 7 rds

A bit underwhelming that
Re: Adrien Broner vs. Mikey Garcia: Who's watching?
Nice boxing from Garcia.....I thought the official scores were a bit generous to Broner. AB was most effective to the body but didnt go there enough.

I suspect Broner's self destructive streak will show itself sooner or later regardless of how he fares in the ring.Manchester Hitman wrote:Congrats to Garcia...brilliant fighter

I still want someone to lay Broner clean out.
Re: Adrien Broner vs. Mikey Garcia: Who's watching?
Broner is like many fighters. A bully too used to everything his own way.
Always having size advantages over opponents with very protective matchmaking for years. 4 weight champio b*llocks.
The way he got that 140 belt was pathetic.
Great performance by mikey Shane he couldn't put the exclamation mark on it with a stoppage.
Still Mikey has thrown away his prime years I rate him highly but he is not on Crawford level ( I don't think anyone else is to be honest)

That was an hour of my life I won't get back...
Garcia clearly too good, but that was bloody dull.
Not usually a UFC fan, but Cormier v Jones saved the night. Excellent by comparison.

Got up early to watch Cornier v Jones live. The Woodley fight was poor though.Loftgroov wrote:That was an hour of my life I won't get back...

Overall the Garcia v Broner fight was underwhelming, still impressed with Mikey though.
My biggest dissapoint net was the Charlo fight. From the off you could see Heiland was pretty much one legged. Embarrassing fight and I rate Charlo.
Hope he isn't out of the ring too long and fights a legitimate fully fight middleweight next if it isn't GGG
Re: Adrien Broner vs. Mikey Garcia: Who's watching?
I did what I do best and pass out before the main fight! Just caught up now, Mikey Garcia is a class act and great role model for the sport

Garcia was excellent and got his tactics spot on.
Broner was crap. He has zero ring IQ and just can't deal with being under pressure.

As sh1t as Broner was/is no doubt he'll still be in more high profile/ big money fights again. That's what seems to happen to cnts like him.

If it's any consolation, he'll never win one.ShadrachSimmo wrote:As sh1t as Broner was/is no doubt he'll still be in more high profile/ big money fights again. That's what seems to happen to cnts like him.
Re: Adrien Broner vs. Mikey Garcia: Who's watching?
Broner should just retire. A part time fighter who's not dedicated enough and gets beat when he steps up

Always feel upbeat after Broner loses - makes a happier day
Can't wait to see him KO'ed

That might take awhile. He is tough. The odds on his fights are beautiful. He's a rare fighter that I've never missed a pick on.rossij8 wrote:Always feel upbeat after Broner loses - makes a happier day

Re: Adrien Broner vs. Mikey Garcia: Who's watching?
119-109 Garcia, wasn't a great fight to watch but Mikey fought a great fight, kept things pretty simple and didn't need to get out of 1st gear to outwork Broner who was pretty awful TBH, apart from a wee surge in the last couple of rounds he never tried to impose his natural size and strength on Garcia and spent more time shaking his head than throwing punches, in all fairness a lot of Garcia's work was on the gloves but because Broner wasn't doing anything Mikey was still winning the rounds om workrate alone, credit to Garcia that was a domination
Re: Adrien Broner vs. Mikey Garcia: Who's watching?
Don't know where the judges got their scorecards from? Mikey Garcia dominated the fight from start to finish. 119-109 for me, you could give Broner 2 rounds max and yet two of the sorecards were 116-112. Disappointing again from judges.
Overall a snoozefest of a fight but Garcia can be happy with his work, he didn't need to change a winning formula and Broner was just a huge letdown. Bang average fighter, would have loved to see Garcia go for him and finish him.

Re: Adrien Broner vs. Mikey Garcia: Who's watching?
He tried to finish him. He threw almost 300 punches in the last three rounds. With all of the undeserved accolades broner has received, he is tough as nails. Oddly, most criticize his heart and consistency when they are, along with speed, his two best attributes.
