..I'm not sure I understand this part, could you explain it?
Basically Haye weren't so diva that he made mormeck come over to England, or Wlad. Some English champions never leave these shores
-Haye went to France to fight Mormeck, who was a belt-holder, right? Haye was NOBODY at this point..
-Haye went to Germany to fight Valuev who was a belt-holder, right? Haye was NOBODY at this point..
-Haye went second time to Germany to fight Wlad. I believe Wlad had 3 major belts at this time. Haye had just one...
It doesn't take a rocket scientist to figure out who needed whom mostly...Even a prima donna at one point has to decide what's more important..he was an ambitious boxer who desperately needed these belts, so he went for it..That's why I said earlier he had no choice, he HAD to travel...
Haye was one of this countries brightest prospects, he was hardly a nobody even if he were b side on occasions on the way up.
British boxers have fought as contenders vs the champion in this country, bringing the champion over here. Haye isn't one of them. It's a small part of the evidence to suggest the whole diva thing is exaggerated

..you compare him with British fighters who never left the safe haven? fair enough...I never applauded to those who never left their backyards...I compare him though with the world elite..diva as he was he still wanted that belt, he obviously realised he had little to no chance to get it back home, so he had to go to France and Germany...
PS: I guess we can agree to disagree...had no intention to hijack the thread and make OP unhappy

It hopefully is dead and the fight won't happen again.
It's honestly not worth it a second time around, Haye is getting injured a lot lately so who knows how long he can keep going and for Bellew the fight does nothing for his standing on the world level.
If he wins (Bellew) who can he challenge ? Wilder ? Joshua ? wouldn't even consider him a worthwhile defence and people like Ortiz would show him the difference between a past his best Haye and a real world heavyweight contender.
Haye is best off fighting people like he did before, European ranked fighters who he can beat and he can make a claim for the still vacant WBA (regular) world title that's still vacant. The man can sell a fight regardless of who you put against him so why risk it against dangerous fighters when he just wants to go out on his own terms.

Sorry, but Tyrone Spong has 9 boxing fights on his record now, in Russia, America, Germany, it's really nothing special, I can't name any top boxer who hasn't fought outside of his homecountry, can you?
