I dislike Haye enough that I can't give him credit for maybe's. I prefer to imagine a world in which he'd always be a one legged punching bag for Bellew to beat up

McGregors best chance will come in the first round. That's the only time he'll get to fight his kind of fight. Floyd will catch him early and carry him til the 6th or 7th round.

Floyd will carry him the full 12.

What about no, not at all, Bellew won the first 3 or 4 rounds and actually kept him alive when injured.

I gotta give mcgregor credit for moving over to boxing and having a go,dana white has always tried to dis boxing in comparison to the ufc,he even gave james toney a chance to come over in a publicity stunt to try and prove his thoughts that ufc is better than boxing but mcgregor decides to go the other way and not just have a boxing match but have a boxing match against the best defensive fighter probably of all time. Two different sports and it would take years for a fighter to master one then master the other but connor gave it a go and jumped in at the top(id of jumped in at the top for the purse he got) well done

I don't think David Haye would dare to accept his own rules lol, but I hope he does the impossible, and proves me wrong.

I don't think it necessarily follows that predicting an underdog successfully proves you know a lot about a certain sport.

Example, in Haye vs Bellew, Haye hurt his hamstring. We'll never know if Haye would've won otherwise, of course. But nobody predicted Bellew because they thought Haye was going to injure himself part way through the fight. It would've been a lucky prediction, rather than one that demonstrated knowledge.

More worryingly, for the first time post fight he has acknowdledegd that he has a stamina problem. That will spell pure danger against a true stong 155 lbs wrestling beast like Khabib.

Diaz and McGregor may have fought at 170 lbs but Diaz is actually a 155'er and not some enormous and unbeatable beast. He has been well beaten on several occassions at 155 and dealt with far easier than McGregor could just about manage in their second fight.

Pump out as many stats as you want but stats dont always reveal the true picture (ala lies, damn lies and statistics). Tell me this, if McGregor legitimately dropped Diaz then presumably Diaz was dazed or disorientated? Why then did McGregor not proceed to jump on top and ground and pound to a finish? After each knockdown Diaz was up nearly straightaway after McGregor refused to engage in the ground game. Are you sure Diaz wasnt simply going down in an effort to ju jitsu McGregor on the mat...

It was a 'challenge' that even if he lost, he'd make millions of dollars. Much more than he'd make in the UFC for one fight. Probably more than he'd make for several fights combined. Even if he got embarrassed, he's probably now set for life financially.

No. But it was sold as an unknown prospect. McGregor wasn't a guy off the streets and knocking together a highlight real of his supposed power made it a fairly easy sell.

The eventuality was not that Mayweather would have to negate his supposed unreal power; more that his power was laughably overrated and Mayweather was literally laughing at him.

Some of the comments I've heard from people regarding McGregor are embarrassing. "He might have lost but early on he was winning" That's the equivalent of the fat kid leading the first 10 metres of the 100m on sports day. He got his arse handed to him by a 40 year old semi-retired boxer who I suspect didn't train anywhere near as intensively as he had when he was fighting people like DLH and Corrales.
