just caught the second round. Baker landed a nice one but got caught. Not much to tell other than that really.

When I first see Connor Benn he looked nothing special but he's improved a lot and is starting to look like a good fighter

Same here - on Burns/Di Rocco card in Glasgow he was terrible.

You forget he's not boxed much amateur level either.

He needs to be pulled out by his corner here. He ain't gonna win and he's just gonna be sent out to walk onto a potential knock out blow.

Buatsi second fight and the second time he fails to meet my expectations after Rio. His lack of speed and movement is noticeable, so is his leaky defense. He has some way to go. This was a good learning fight though.

Benn on the other hand has much improved. Started to look like a prospect.

Didn't enjoy that at all, Okolie and Buatsai looked one dimensional, Benn got a cracking KO but was roughed up a bit, Cordina looked the best

Okolie is a KO waiting to happen

I enjoyed the show more than I thought I would. The Ball fight was a good scrap whilst some of the prospects had decent learning fights.

Assuming these NxtGen shows are on top of the 20 shows/year already committed on sky sports then I'm reasonably happy with them. Reminds me of the 'new school' thing (or whatever it was called) that Warren had on Sky that had Kevin Mitchell and a few others on.

Didn't watch last night so can't comment but I tend to agree. I quite like the concept of these shows keeping all the prospects on one card. You know exactly what you're getting when you tune in prospects building their record/taking learning fights etc

Other than that just a card of prospects boxing people sent out to lose

Yeah NxtGen is outwith the normal Sky contract - so as you say extra Boxing is always welcome.

These next Gen card should be Hearns high profile former amateur standout prospects against unsigned domestic prospect with similar records (Like Ball v Sherriff) or two unbeaten non matchroom fighters to give them some exposure in a 50/50 fight.

Ball/Sheriff was a good wee scrap, I thought the ref had it a bit too close mind, I had it 98-90, it was competitive but Ball was still winning the rounds, the ref had it 97-94 so lucky Jake got a couple of knockdowns
