Loma is levels above Salido in skill, technique, speed. He should have handled him easily.
It was precisely because he was ill prepared for the pro ranks that Salido was able to out hustle him and rough him up

To make that point, lets imagine they made the match up today.
Lomachenko after 3 years and 10 fights is far better attuned to the requirements of the professional game.
How would you see it panning out now? Could you see Salido landing anything meaningful? Would you expect him to win a single round now?
I think it would either end 120-108 or a late stoppage with the ref jumping in to stop the onslaught, with Salido totally outclassed and outgunned

Exactly. He was already amazing and good enough for a world title shot after one pro fight. Someone just David Haye, Joe Calzaghe etc... turned out to be brilliant fighters, no way would've competed inside 5 fights. Loma you fast track. Joyce hasn't got those tools

Lomachenko has been a pro for almost 4 years now and he's only had 10 fights.

He's being moved a bit too slowly really.

Loma's been fast-tracked in terms of the quality of his opposition, though his activity level (11 fights in 4 years if the December bout goes ahead) is more in line with the norm for championship level fighters.
