I have never heard of the champ he is fighting, I have not heard of any of his opponents, I cannot look them up on boxrec and say "ahhhhh ok so he fought so and so who I know" etc as I know none of them

Good luck to him, just bores the shite out of me.
This wouldn't come across as at all racist would it, tobyh5?
You utter w4nker. I follow men's boxing you prick, I have boxed as a man, I can imagine myself fighting against another man, I can relate to the characters as they are familiar, I know the male names as I have followed the sport 30 years, I know the champs, I know their opponents, I can look at boxrec and recognise them.

Your point is completely fcking retarded, just like you.

If someone keeps it to theirself it is one thing.

If they feel the need to tell everyone that they dislike women's sports then I'd say that it is quite sexist.

Whether being sexist makes someone a bad person or not is another matter.

You need to start taking your medication before posting. I said I had no interest in female boxing, I did not say I dislike women's sport.

Fair enough, that probably makes me a sexist then but I'm only being honest and I am entitled to share my opinion. In my experience the only people who seem to follow womens sport are those who have a vested interest in it such as a partner, relative, friend etc who participates. The average bloke in the street has little interest at all.

There's one simple reason not to keep to one's self.

Remember not too long ago when the World was going crazy with "Ronda Rousey is the baddest chick ever, she could beat MEN!" type talk. Well look what happened not long afterward. Let's just say that the whole world WOULD'VE agreed that she was THAT badass, and they would've agreed to match her with men.

Very good chance she'd have died or been permanently injured.

A Woman is never gonna be the best fighter in the world, nor frankly even one of the 100 best fighters in the world.
A Mentally Handicapped person is never gonna be a member of MENSA.
A Dog is never gonna say "Meow"

I agree with the first part. Not the 2nd part.
Conor doesn't hit hard enough to wobble a trifle! Maybe he could out work her over 10x2's but would def blow out over the championship course.
And she would have won the title in the ams because the level is so bad.
Conversely I have recently started watching MMA and find the women much better than the men.

Doesn't matter if he hits hard enough. He'd be able to outbox her. That's the difference in the level of athleticism we're talking about. Hell he'd have 20 pounds on Katie. At least put him in there with a girl his size like Claressa Shields. He'd totally box her ears off to, but at least she'd be his size.

The world's best flyweight can't beat the 100th best heavyweight.

I suppose all flyweights are worthless then?

For his boxing ability was poor, all his weight on his back foot, his size would be his only advantage against Taylor.
Also I bet it would do huge PPV when Taylor's profile is raised.

You guys are delusional. He'd have so many advantages over Taylor it'd be ridiculous.

Faster, harder hitting...he wouldn't even need to defend her attacks because they wouldn't faze him. I hope people don't get a girl hurt one of these days with this absurd "She's as good as a man" bullsh*t that some of you buy into.

I really enjoy UFC female fights but boxing female fights are horrific to watch. With UFC fights you get women you've seen before and you've seen interviews and have a sense of their personality. You also get to see finishes. Female boxing is always very very boring and tedious to watch

Taylor stinks the joint out in every fight. They might love her doing that in Ireland. Nowhere else

I bet you thought Conor had a chance v PBF.
It was the first time I had watched him and in a boxing ring he should zero power or speed, and his defence and footwork was non existent.

Are you talking to me? I knew Conor had ZERO chance against Floyd. I even wrote an article about it.

Nice try though.

If you wanna say Katie Taylor is the best FEMALE boxer in the world. Fine. If you wanna say she's even one of the Top 100 P4P...you're wrong.

I don't think Conor has a chance in hell against any credible Male Boxer anywhere near his size. Yordenis Ugas and Thomas Dulorme from the Mayweather-McGregor undercard show would both mop the floor with Conor.

I don't fault a Woman wanting to be a boxer. I don't mind acknowledging that a woman is the best fighter among other women, but I'll never kid myself into pretending that any woman is one of the best Boxers on the planet.

Why not Claressa Shields vs Conor? Conor weighs 155 pounds. Katie weighs 135. It'd be difficult enough if they were the same size.

Claressa Shields weighs 168...so she's physically BIGGER than Conor, and seems to have a chip on her shoulder where I believe she'd jump at the chance to fight a guy.

She'd have no chance whatsoever. Same as Conor had against Floyd.

That's reality.

I wouldn't, he would violently destroy her. She'd have less of a chance then he did with Floyd. As for the women's sports, I live tennis and MMA. No interest in any other ones.

Not even power? I find it hard to believe that he wouldn't be able to put down little Nina Meinke if he pounded on her for 7 rounds.

He'd be able to put her down before the end of 1. All it would require is throwing some punches with serious intent to hurt. People insist on getting delusional about this kinda stuff these days. I just hope that the officials that actually control the sport don't ever become as simple minded as some of the fans when it comes to this subject.

I'd be happy to put my money where my mouth is on this subject. If somebody offered me a couple hundred bucks, and was willing to pay for my travel expenses to fight the World's Top Female Heavyweight I'd do it...just to prove my point. I'm nobody, not even an active boxer, and I'd win.

I'm not saying it'd be competitive, I'd just be interested to watch it.

I often think about interesting but unlikely match-ups, such as the world's lightest boxer fighting the world's heaviest boxer, or the world's shortest boxer fighting the world's tallest boxer.

I probably need to get out more.

Conor is very intelligent with strategy. He knew he wasn't landing a bomb on Floyd. He has more power than he showed there, much more punching power than any female on earth.

Freak show events can be fun sometimes. I saw a 160 pound man fight a 600 pound man in Pride FC once

Incidentally the 600 pounder lost. Of course he was basically just a giant wall of blubber so being the bigger man isn't really an advantage when you're just as likely to lose by dropping dead of a heart attack as you are to lose through normal means.

I wouldn't even clear somebody THAT fat to even compete in Combat Sports personally.

Sumo maybe, but not anything that's gonna last more than a few seconds.

How about a Conor-Floyd rematch where Conor can throw backhand blows all fight and kicks for 10 seconds of each round?
