He's got everything going for him coming into this.

He'll either stop Rigo later on in the fight or win a clear Unanimous decision with scores of like 118-108 or something like that.
I think you're underestimating rigo a bit gil

Great news. You got loma i guess.
Yeah, no blowout though. Rigo will be way up for this.
This big bang at the end truly makes this year special. The best boxing year since 2000. Cant remember of a year with such good match ups.

I don't know about that, way better than last year.

Rigo is a very good fighter :box:

But he can't hang with Loma :shame:

I really wish the fight was on a more even playing field. Its not hard to figure out who was throwing a wrench in the cogs stopping a fight between the two of them at 126. Arum wants Loma to have the advantages so he doesn't risk Loma losing like he did Donaire. My theory anyway...

We'll see. I know how good he is, I also know he's 35 years old, and the naturally smaller man. Not to mention facing a fighter who's possibly even faster, and more skilled than him.

Yes slightly bigger. I don't consider the distance between 122 pounds and 130 pounds to be a million miles. Just because it's 2 weight classes apart it shouldn't dillude your own comprehension that it's a mere 8 pounds, and Lomachenko was fighting at 126 not too terribly long ago. It's not like he's some giant.

I wouldn't say there's a massive weight difference between them. It's not like Loma is some dude who cuts 15lbs to make weight.

I can't think of a fight were the fighters are this highly skilled, I think Lomas pressure will be the difference but I expect it to be fought on a level(skill wise) we may not have seen before.

Rigo is like 5'4 in heels and 122 with change in his pockets

8lbs from 122 to 130 looks and feels much different than 160 to 168. Just ask Gonzalez

I wish I could agree with you on that one since I will be rooting hard for Rigo! Unfortunately I believe the 130# limit will be too favorable for Loma and dont think Rigo has much chance of victory at that unfavorably high weight. The only time Rigo ever fought over 122 pounds was back in 2009...

Also, consider he will be 37 in a few weeks. Inactivity wont help either. The one-round fiasco vs faker Flores meant nothing and his quick blowout of Dickens gives Rigo only 3 rounds of actual fighting in the past 2 years.

If Rigondeaux pulls this one off, I'll see it as a major upset!!

All the combinations of Leonard, haglee, Duran & hearns.

Yep. I almost said that a second ago in Jip's "We've never seen this kinda skill before" claim.

I'm like...ummm hello? Leonard vs Hearns!

But yeah you're right, any combination of the 4 would've been Elite skill.

Wilfred Benitez fought all of them except Hagler as well, and he was fantastically skilled as well.

Rigo is gonna fight in a negative way like FMJ, trying to pot shot his opponent. Unfortunately for Rigo , Loma has tremendous footwork and control of distance. Great boxing spectacle. :yay:

If one of them happened to toy with the other, that'd be some pretty unheard of significance and be less about size advantages. Rigo still has the reach. Crazy fight. Crazy year of boxing.
