Whyte comfortably. Chisora battered Helenius & was criminally robbed of the decision. Whyte won't have much trouble.

I hope Chisora acts a lunatic towards Helenius, to try to piss him off in to the rematch. He deserves to avenge that decision.

Hearn is dying for a huge Whyte/aj rematch. Worst case he gets Whyte a nice payday with Wilder. He's a very good promoter.

I actually think the PPV card is really strong and Hearn's done a very good job with it.

AJ v Pulev
Whyte v Helenius
Katie Taylor world title fight
Yafai v unbeaten Sho Ishida
Allen v Thomas
Buglioni v Johnson
Okolie
Cordina
Buatsi

I can't wait for it to be honest!

how many of those would you class as 50/50 fights?

I think there's a possibility 4 of the fights could be competitive. After Charlo/Lubin though nobody knows.

I've got Allen/Thomas and Buglioni/Johnson as the only true 50/50s on the card. The rest are Home wins...

I'd say the Yafai, Allen and Buglioni fights are 50/50, the other 2 heavyweight fights are, whilst not being 50/50, good solid fights and I haven't seen anything of Taylor's opponent to comment.

Yafais opponent has beaten 2 debutants in the past year and hasn't fought outside of Japan. He will be tough, all Japanese fighters are, but he doesn't have a 50/50 shot at winning IMO.
Taylors opponent lost in her last world title attempt at Super Feather and has since fought twice in her home country picking up the vacant title in the process. This will be her first defence.
Whyte comfortably decisions Helenius unless Robert can pull a miracle shot out of the bag.
Joshua stops Pulev.
Cant see this card throwing up any suprises tbh...

There are two fifty fifty fights but the Whyte fight isn't a bad match up and Joshua is fighting one of the best names out there for him.

It's a good card.

i'll stream it more than likely.
The Allen and Buglioni fights should be good. I'll be keeping an eye on the Whyte fight and hoping Pulev can pull something out of nowhere but its not a card I would part with my cash for.
yourself?

I'll definitely be shelling out for it. Got some mates coming over (we all went to see Joshua v Klitschko, Martin and several of his other fights live). There may have been better main events this year but it's the best UK card for me of the year.

If this fight had been announced at the same time as the main event I'd rate this as a really good 50/50 fight but it's soured because the prep won't have been 50/50 for both guys. Now Helenius may be a pretty consistent gym goer I dunno but even if he is it's not the same as training knowing you've got a fight on such & such date. Hearn could've done the deal weeks before now so he's playing the percentages but he's holding the cards so why wouldn't he. It does suggest to me at least that he may not rate Whyte all that highly and he doesn't want what would be a fairly big grossing AJ date getting derailed by Whyte succumbing to a defeat unless it's a shot against either Wilder or Parker.

Did I miss the point where Dillian Whyte earned a reputation as a world class heavyweight and a genuine draw in British boxing? That's how he and Eddie talk about him but I literally couldn't give less of a shitt about his fights. Whyte said a rematch with Chisora is a PPV main event ffs, his best wins are a razor close split decision over Chisora and a late stoppage of Lewison! Why does any of that warrant being chief support on a PPV bill? Especially when he's fighting the past his best (which wasn't that good anyway) Robert Helenius.

I've got a £550 acca on Lenroy Thomas to beat Allen again. Thought he won it by more than an SD last time. Hoping it ain't home cooking, and the 2 men can be scored fairly whichever way it goes. Lenory was very humble, and actually very good boxer, just lacked the power.

His sole reputation is based on that 1 punch v AJ where AJ wobbled for all of 2 seconds, took his time to regain his legs.

If you listen to whyte that punch had AJ standing on the spot asleep ready to push over but his poorly arm wouldn't work.

Good fight. And if Helenius has recovered from injury and is in shape he has a good chance.

Sky were desperate for that fight to not be a total wipeout. First time for Joshua doing a PPV on his own against a guy a lot thought he'd demolish in a couple.

That punch had Jim Watt absolutely screaming and Joshua had his head cleared, as you say, in seconds. Quite possibly the most overrated shot of recent years.

totally overrated punch that led to whyte beng overrated n general. aj fought hs worst fght and stll arguably only lost that one round before splattng whyte. whyte couldnt do anythng once aj started throwng a few jabs. aj boxes more these days too so dont see a repeat of that one left.
