I'll be buying it.maverick23 wrote:I actually think the PPV card is really strong and Hearn's done a very good job with it.
AJ v Pulev
Whyte v Helenius
Katie Taylor world title fight
Yafai v unbeaten Sho Ishida
Allen v Thomas
Buglioni v Johnson
Okolie
Cordina
Buatsi
I can't wait for it to be honest!
how many of those would you class as 50/50 fights?maverick23 wrote:AJ v Pulev

I think there's a possibility 4 of the fights could be competitive. After Charlo/Lubin though nobody knows.wesshaw1985 wrote:how many of those would you class as 50/50 fights?maverick23 wrote:AJ v Pulev

I've got Allen/Thomas and Buglioni/Johnson as the only true 50/50s on the card. The rest are Home wins...TheGingerBomber wrote:I think there's a possibility 4 of the fights could be competitive. I'd say the Yafai, Allen and Buglioni fights are 50/50, the other 2 heavyweight fights are, whilst not being 50/50, good solid fights and I haven't seen anything of Taylor's opponent to comment.wesshaw1985 wrote:how many of those would you class as 50/50 fights?maverick23 wrote:AJ v Pulev

Yafais opponent has beaten 2 debutants in the past year and hasn't fought outside of Japan. He will be tough, all Japanese fighters are, but he doesn't have a 50/50 shot at winning IMO.maverick23 wrote:I'd say the Yafai, Allen and Buglioni fights are 50/50, the other 2 heavyweight fights are, whilst not being 50/50, good solid fights and I haven't seen anything of Taylor's opponent to comment.

Taylors opponent lost in her last world title attempt at Super Feather and has since fought twice in her home country picking up the vacant title in the process. This will be her first defence.
Whyte comfortably decisions Helenius unless Robert can pull a miracle shot out of the bag.
Joshua stops Pulev.
Cant see this card throwing up any suprises tbh...
i'll stream it more than likely.maverick23 wrote:Do you think you'll be buying it?wesshaw1985 wrote:Yafais opponent has beaten 2 debutants in the past year and hasn't fought outside of Japan. I'll definitely be shelling out for it. Got some mates coming over (we all went to see Joshua v Klitschko, Martin and several of his other fights live). There may have been better main events this year but it's the best UK card for me of the year.wesshaw1985 wrote:i'll stream it more than likely.maverick23 wrote:Do you think you'll be buying it?wesshaw1985 wrote: Yafais opponent has beaten 2 debutants in the past year and hasn't fought outside of Japan. The Allen and Buglioni fights should be good. I'll be keeping an eye on the Whyte fight and hoping Pulev can pull something out of nowhere but its not a card I would part with my cash for.
yourself?
His sole reputation is based on that 1 punch v AJ where AJ wobbled for all of 2 seconds, took his time to regain his legs.ElJefe wrote:Did I miss the point where Dillian Whyte earned a reputation as a world class heavyweight and a genuine draw in British boxing? That's how he and Eddie talk about him but I literally couldn't give less of a shitt about his fights. Whyte said a rematch with Chisora is a PPV main event ffs, his best wins are a razor close split decision over Chisora and a late stoppage of Lewison! Why does any of that warrant being chief support on a PPV bill? Especially when he's fighting the past his best (which wasn't that good anyway) Robert Helenius.
Don't post comments about threads about hypothetical fights that are not hypothetical fights.Horse wrote:Do not start threads like this with hypothetical fights.

Sky were desperate for that fight to not be a total wipeout. First time for Joshua doing a PPV on his own against a guy a lot thought he'd demolish in a couple.nitro5912 wrote:His sole reputation is based on that 1 punch v AJ where AJ wobbled for all of 2 seconds, took his time to regain his legs.ElJefe wrote:Did I miss the point where Dillian Whyte earned a reputation as a world class heavyweight and a genuine draw in British boxing? If you listen to whyte that punch had AJ standing on the spot asleep ready to push over but his poorly arm wouldn't work.
