EO I wouldn't even categorize myself as one who necessarily scores for aggression, but to my way of thinking, Canelo looked like the older fighter conserving his energy, relying on eye-catching spurts, and getting bullied and harried from pillar to post. No way was it close. By the time Canelo elected to make a fight of it he would have needed a knockout to win (maybe not in Vegas)

I had no favourite going into the fight. i just wanted to see the best man win a great fight.

I agree with you neither was ever in trouble.

Canelo himself has a granite chin and toughness.

Gaining that additional muscle slowed him down, so he barely had an advantage over GGG in that area. His body movement suffered too.

I hope GGG fights Saunders and then retires. If Saunders takes the fight, he has been all talk up to now and I don't expect that to change

He's actually been a middle for a while but was always going for catch weights not the true 160, and technically he's come down in weight after his last fight was a super middle catch weight!

But you're right he competed well and fought hard. He got beat, but I actually thought he'd get broken down more than he did, so he exceeded my expectations.

I'd be confident if they fought again in 6 months golovkin could dominate a bit more than the 8-4 I scored, I actually can't see Canelo improving on that showing.

I don't think they'll be an immediate rematch, and Canelo might look for it again in a couple years when Golovkin is truly sliding
