I could see GGG badly hurt by Canelo in the rematch, especially if the 2nd fight gets made after 1 or 2 years. At least GGG would hit the biggest jackpot of his career and then retire.

Wake up time brother. This was a half intensity spar session choreographed to make money and maintain the puppet fraud known as Canelo.
This.
Canelo's firepower wasn't the level of Lemieux, Stevens, Jacobs; GGG should have gone through him in 4.
But we all know the only way he was going to get Canelo in the ring was to prostitute himself.

you should be not surprised. It is hard to hurt oponent, who is strong, tough, fast, and have very good defense and overall boxing skill.

Prior to the fight, I appraised Alvarez's durability at at least a 9/10, and I've also many times praised his head movement as one of his best assets. So I wasn't too surprised (but even then, Alvarez took all of the blows without showing any weakness, like a statue, so it was pretty damned impressive). However, the people in that thread who were appraising Alvarez's toughness as much lower... those people are some real psychos.

Canelo didn't earn a draw... That's the corruption of this sport -- or rather business... It's one sorry piece of shiit... Every generation you think and pray that as the people who control the sport turn over for the next generation something will change -- but it just gets worse.

Canelo is strong as they come. Whenever he chosen to fire back , he made Golovkin to cover up and go backwards. Very strong fighter.

Can't get of my mind that big right overhand that Canelo was landing on GGG's chin in rd 9. Murderous punch.

I agree that GGG edged the fight due to his constant pressure and work but man gingerhead-Canelo landed some wicked shots on GGG.

This didn't surprise me. It was my feeling prior to the fight that Canelo possessed the better One Punch Power of the two even though he had yet really fought at the weight legitimately. GGG gets his knockouts from the accumulation of punches. Can you remember GGG knocking anyone out cold? I haven't seen tape of any.
GGG did get Canelo with his best right hand right midway through the fight. It landed right above Canelo's left ear and Canelo shook his head no and didn't seem bothered by it. That was surprising. But steroids do make you perform better and must make you a lot tougher. Don't tell me he's not juiced to the tilt please.

Ishida, Geale and Rubio?

It's something strange with Canelo's big head and thick neck. His body is too big framed.

None of those guys were knocked out cold like Canelo has done to Kirkland and Khan. Thats what i was trying to say anyway.

Ishida, Geale and Rubio are all bigger than Kirkland and Khan. Ishida is currently a heavyweight.

And knocking Khan cold isn't impressive especially if you fight weightclasses above him.

It doesn't get any colder than Ishida or Macklin KOs.

To me Canelo looked like he could go 12 rds against Adonis Stevenson or Beterbiev. He looked like he was made of granite.

If that was the case he would have stood and traded more. He felt 3G's shots and he knew he could not afford to gas in that fight.

Khan is a chiny welter who got KTFO before and so was Kirkland by Ishida.

Canelo is a boxer, not a brawler. He fought economically to not get completely gassed out and get stopped.

..there's no question Canelo knows where his limits are, hence this strategy...

Hence, he felt 3G's power.
GingerHead is an excellent boxer. He is smart, skilled, and tough. He was brilliant with his upper body / head movement. But, if he was that much granite he would have thrown / traded more.
3G hurt him more than once. GingerHead was great at camouflaging it.

I think Canelo was sick and tired to see GGG in front of him all the time keep pumping his jab. Mentally must be very exhausting and thats why I think Canelo would wait a little more this time till the rematch unless GGG is gonna retire.

I don't think he was great at hiding it, especially when he shook his head no and threw nothing back. He clearly lost rounds 4-9. He somehow was able to be busier in two of the three rounds in 10-12. He probably had more energy than GGG because he did not throw more than him in rounds 4-9. It was as if Canelo knew that he had to finish strong or else he would lose even on biased judges' scorecards. There is no way it was a draw and not a landslide win for Canelo like on Byrd's scores.

Canelo is a very tough man... I don't think he'll ever be stopped in his whole career... Ditto Triple-G who takes an even better shot.

HAHAH...you got it! I will DEFINITELY give you the Ishida KO but not the other two. Those guys were not knocked out cold. But you did find one and that was good.
